We loved the history and antiquity of the room! The neighborhood looks a little sketchy but doesn’t affect the stay

Clean room. Low water pressure. Located in a neighborhood, no security. Breakfast was not until 830 and you had to go to a different location for the restaurant

Beautiful property,well kept and comfortable

Comfortable room, but no elevator. Coffee and water onsite were good. The property was advertised as having breakfast, but we had to take a walk down the street to the mansion to eat. No elevator - stairs should’ve been advertised or disclosed. I am 70, and lugged quite a few bags up from the car.

Great shower, comfortable bed. NA

We got exposure to a much higher property at low end prices. It was a glorious breakfast in a beautiful property, even though 900 feet from the rented room. We met some wonderful fellow guests at the evening wine offering, and also at breakfast the following day at the mansion. We were not expecting stairs, and being on a long-distance trip we had a lot of bags. Also, the property was advertised as a breakfast included accommodation, which usually means on site, so having to walk a couple of blocks away for breakfast was unexpected..

Historic place, nice people!!

The location was perfect in the historical district. Parking is available right outside the door. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very quiet. The owner of the hotel was very available and went out of her way to be helpful.

If you’re looking for a real historical place to stay, this is it. Very well maintained..bathrooms in our building, Halpino, was excellent..all redone. Bed very comfortable, floors creeked but very old building. Breakfast was at another building you could walk too. Was excellent and fancy. Was in a further area from historic downtown but easy drive. Historic it is perfect for Vicksburg.

The breakfast was the most formal breakfast I have ever had in my life. The lock on the front door works fine. They just need one that locks automatically when closed instead of relying on the user.

Quiet, convenient and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional.

We would definitely stay here again. It was a great experience!

Bathroom floor looked clean until I spilled shampoo on it and cleaned it up with a towel that was very dark afterwards. Location and it was sooo quiet at night.

Excellent accommodations. The owner and staff were exceptional. Interesting tour of the Duff Green mansion. Nice breakfast. In honor and respect of the Duff Green mansion in Vicksburg, there should be a Confederate flag displayed somewhere. The Duff Green mansion is about history, not a means to rewrite a liberal, woke interpretation.

The room was nice. The breakfast was very good. And the wine social in the afternoon was great Had to travel to another home for all events. The area was a bit rough but, the facilities were nice

The breakfast was great! The staff was great! The bed gave me a back ache .

The location was good. Only a few blocks from the river and restaurants. The room was nice and clean. No thermostat to adjust the temperature and it was in the 40s when we got up. Small heater in the room but it did not put out much heat. Communication was mainly by text but with a number to call if you had a problem, so not much interaction with the staff. After breakfast was treated to a talk about the history of Duff Green Mansion that was interesting. Was not impressed with the "3-course" breakfast. First course was a small bowl of fruit (good) and a biscuit that was overdone. 2nd course was a small slice of quiche, a small mound of a potato dish that looked like potato salad, two very small pieces of bacon, and a piece of lettuce with a tomato slice on top. The quiche and potato were bland. The 3rd course was ( I kid you not) about an inch square of pound cake with whipped cream on top.

The door to our room was broken. We couldn't close or lock the door. The host did not return our calls. Night 1 we slept with a chair in front of the door to keep it closed. Also, the bathroom was not clean 100%. Day 2 we were moved to another location. We mistakenly went to the wrong property. I called our host for clarification and she spoke to the employee on duty. She was very rude to her. It was very unprofessional. The second facility was much better. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the one small refrigerator that was available for all guests to share was not cooling. The next morning we realized it never cooled and the living room smelled strongly of freon. We had to discard the foid we brought. A message was sent to the host with no response. The room description should be updated to clarify there is only one dorm fridge, coffee pot, and microwave for all guests to share. There is no continental breakfast. Their breakfast is served at a different facility and is only served at 8:30 am. Furthermore, there are no thermostats for the individual rooms.

The breakfast! They were a bit lacking in communication for late check ins.
