Location is pretty good. Quiet area at the end of that area. Vending machines and ice machine worked good. An older hotel and it shows. Needs updated bad. Bathrooms are small. Luggage carts are about to fall apart. Small outside pool could use a good cleaning. Wasn't fond of the separator out on the balcony instead of a real wall from the room next door. Definitely not worth the price we paid for our room....

This is a family hotel. Old school. Old fashion. Do not expect a fancy, sterile environment... it's not. What it is ...is: right on the beach, reasonably priced, clean and well staffed. Was my second time there ... and would go back.

For the cost per night this was a great deal. Bathroom seemed to be recently renovated. Very convenient to VA Beach beachfront.

Just had a one night stay at the schooner Inn but everything was great! The room was clean and the balcony view was amazing. I loved the kitchenette and all the amenities. The staff were also very courteous and I will definitely be staying there again. When I have to travel to Virginia Beach in the future, it will be my go to Hotel.

Everything was good except the pool tiles were very slippery couple children found they were running or anything it was really slippery everything else was wonderful

Well maintained hotel for my brief stay in Virginia Beach.

Another great stay!

Clean room, decent parking, nice staff and beautiful view.

We loved our stay, loved the hand painted murals and pineapple pool lamps ;)

Being right on the beach was super convenient and really pretty. Hearing and seeing the ocean from our balcony made this hotel a great stay. The staff were very nice and helpful and parking was very easy. The elevators were a bit slow and the hotel is a bit old, but overall it was very worth the price. There’s no food/snacks/restaurants on property, but there are plenty of options close by. Access to the really beautiful and well maintained beach could not easier. There is a small pool, and we heard kids enjoying it, but we didn’t partake. We also didn’t get a room with a hot tub…for next time!

The location is great, but it's a bit dated, and the air conditioner is too noisy. The location is great, but it's a bit dated, and the air conditioner is too noisy.

The location was great for us and the ocean view was great. Beds were comfortable and room was clean but dated. A/C remained at 72 or 73 even though it was set lower but it was fine for one night. Check in had a little issue with the room assignment but the staff resolved it. Just took a few extra minutes. Overall good value for us.

Would definitely come again and bring food.

Location is excellent, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was a bit run down and in need of an update, with a noisy air conditioning unit and a safe that didn't work.
-
I liked the location, the staff, and the quick check in/out. There was a problem with an item in the room, and it was resolved immediately.
-
Cons, (but certainly wouldn’t keep me from staying here): a bit dated. Bathroom fan didn’t work well, (I believe just needed a good cleaning), located next to public beach access, smelled marijuana a lot.

The view from the oceanfront balcony was the best. However, parking our cars was terrible. My friend and I each drove from a different state. The hotel was not filled up . We were told we could only park 1 car in their lot. We had to drive several blocks to a lot and pay $50 for 2 days parking. The man at the front desk said they were full. They were NOT. He lied. The entire time we were there…there were many open parking spots.
