Loved the hotel & lagoon. The pools weren’t big enough for our taste but we enjoyed the property. Room was lovely & quiet. Chairs were very worn but not uncomfortable or gross. Only major deal breaker for us was that the ocean tower was a 15 minute walk from the entrance. No way to drive over. There is a monorail type tram that came about every 20 minutes but did not run 24hrs. It sucked toting all of our gear back and forth to our jeep every day. Otherwise it was a very cool hotel.

- 4 dining chairs in the room were really in bad condition with leather peeling and nail sticking out. We informed the hotel to replace it by calling everyday but the response was poor. They did give credit of a small amount on the last day - the adult pool does not have a bar - the mono rail did not work the last few days - the restaurant food in the hotel is not good.

We arrived and hour early and parking was so far from the check in. It was ridiculous that no carts are available to help when the ocean tower is so far from main lobby. The tram is a joke. This place needs some bikes or scooters because your suppose to be on vacation. Not

The cleaning in the rooms needs to be better. We had to repeatedly ask for a cleaning in the room! Otherwise it’s a beautiful property, absolutely gorgeous with so many activities. I do wish the restaurants, coffee and ice cream shop was open longer or available for room service!

I didn’t like breakfast buffet $55 too expensive for eggs. Pancakes.

Hôtel bien équipé mais vieillissant

Beautiful all around

Most of onsite amenities are expensive- breakfast is $50 per person, parking is $55 per day Valet (with tips on top) etc. There is one coffee place (near Ocean Tower) which has limited snacks and coffee and is open only till 12pm. As long as you plan to be out eating then this should not matter but would have been good to have more quick snack options.

No restaurant in this part of the facility. Again you have to walk ot take the tram at least two stops to get to the closest restaurant. Room service is available, but I wasn't willing to try it because I wasn't sure how hot the food would be by the time it got to my room. A quick word about the pools. There is an adult pool--really great since there are a lot of kids here this weekend. Kids' pools have water slides and a lazy river connecting them. The hotel has towel dispensers. You have to use your room card to get one out. Towels have an RFID chip in them. If you don't return them, you will be charged $20. I think this is a great loss prevention strategy. Note: the towel dispenser by the adult pool is empty! All of the coconut trees are full. This might look pretty to the tourists, but if they fall on somebody that would be a big problem! All the pools were missing shade and tables, you'd be right. Other resorts in Hawaii have pool umbrellas and small side tables for at least every other chaise lounge. The little bit of shade afforded by the overly burdened coconut trees gets filled up very quickly.

The room was 25 years older than the photos shown on the website run down and falling apart. The grounds were beautiful and expansive. The boat taxi’s were not operating and had not been for quite some time. The food expense was absolutely ridiculous! We were on a different island 6 months ago and were prepared for the prices however when ordering a lunch sized bag of chips with a sandwich and the cost was $9 just for the chips it was mind blowing. Two coffees and one danish for $32 also was shocking. Be prepared to add an approximate additional $90-100 per day just for hotel convenience fee and taxes.

I don’t recommend this property. You have to walk 20 minutes to the hotel from the main lobby or take a tram. The tram is up to a 15 minute wait with several stops. If you have an excursion to get too, this could delay your arrival. The rooms are split between owner occupied or hotel. The hotel side is old decor with popcorn ceilings. Not pictured on their website. The owner occupied rooms are a little nice but we had to be moved three times due to faulty air conditioning. Staff was NOT helpful and did not keep their word to make things right.

Over charge everything, doble charge with yaces and fees, food was $55 per plate and we had roaches in the room the cable tv was terrible and the walking to get to the room was the most horrible experience ever. Only the valet parking staff was excellent and friendly. We were also charge for parking when we were out most of the day. By far this hotel is the worse. I will never cone back or recommend this place ever again

The following reasons: 1. Our room was 7030, a very long walk having to pass 29 rooms before reaching our room from the elevator. Staircases were not easily visible - in case of fire! 2. Upon arrival into our suite it felt it was not clean - Lipstick stains on coffee cup and plastic water cups - see attached photos. Did not feel comfortable using the utensils and dishes so we washed them before use. 3. 3 of the chairs at the dining room table - upholstery peeling off on the backrest and the seat of the chairs - see attached photos 4. 1 chair had a nail that poked through the upholstery of the seat and it hurt me as I sat on the chair 5. Very sticky refrigerator doors - difficult to open 6. Dishwashing liquid soap in bottle was watered down 7. 3 TV remote controls were not charged - therefore had difficulty with turning on/off wall mounted TVs in bedrooms and living room. There were no written instructions that there was a charging plate on the bedside stands to charge the remotes 8. The waterway that once had boats taking us to the rooms was filled with algae 9. The tram seats were in tram car that we were in were wobbly, felt like the bolts needed to be tightened 10. Tears in the window shades in the master bedroom - obvious wear and tear. Overall, the property felt old. View to golf course was still nice. Service at the Pizza Italian Restaurant was good

Absolutely mesmerized by this property. It was gigantic. zmany amenities and pools.

We only stayed one night because it was close to the airport. Totally not worth it. I felt trapped in this complex with actually very little to do. There are multiple hotels, you leave your car for a mere $50 on the parking lot, then take a train to your hotel. The adult only pool had the charm of a motel 6 pool, the room was big but uninspired, the actual hotel had nothing but a reception. The restaurant we ended up going to in one of the other hotels in the complex was alright but nothing amazing. I enjoyed our stay at an Airbnb sooooo much more. With a bill of almost $600 total for one night I would have expected more.

We enjoyed everything! The walk to the shops was beautiful and when we needed the shuttle we did not have to wait long.

This was our second trip to the Ocean Tower, one year apart. Compared to last time, this trip was a bit of a disappointment. While the property is still stunning and you can’t beat the location, the service and room itself were real bummers. Staying here isn’t cheap - on top of the nightly charge, you also have resort fees and daily parking charges. So, for the cost, we expected a fully unobstructed ocean front room, and daily cleaning/servicing of our room. Instead, we had to sit outside staring at bird droppings using an end table with completely busted and dangerous glass. They will also only service your room every few days (or so they say.) For us, it was completely inconsistent. At one point our trash was overflowing so we called someone, only to find out that we were supposed to be putting our trash and used towels outside the room everyday - gee, thanks for telling us that front desk…anyhow, doesn’t this defeat the purpose of a hotel vs. an AirBnB? It’s also worth mentioning that the service wasn’t a true cleaning - they just make the beds and restock towels & coffee. Lastly, we reported bloody footprints we saw from the pool to the elevator to the concierge. They were mostly gone later but some pools of blood remained throughout our trip. Yikes, this is a biohazard. We won’t be back.

Very good unless you don’t like to walk. It is a huge property & ocean towers are the farthest from entry (but also very beautiful on the point). The train is way too slow & infrequent to rely on. The walking is gorgeous! Beautiful property.
