Comfortable rooms and common areas! Very kind and helpful staff. I don’t want to leave!

That we only booked one night What an experience… and not in a good way. Thankfully, we only booked one night. That turned out to be the best decision we made, because it meant we could escape first thing in the morning. The disappointment started the moment we arrived. There’s someone standing outside who looks like a valet, but apparently their main responsibility is watching you park your own car. A nice touch if you’ve ever wanted the feeling of valet parking without any actual valet service. After checking in, we were greeted by a group of extremely loud and very drunk teenagers. Every guest seemed aware of them. Security, however, appeared to be on a different vacation. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was just… depressing. Guests looked miserable, and even the staff gave the impression they’d rather be anywhere else. Around 1:00 a.m., we discovered the drunk teenagers were staying in the room next to ours. They spent the night screaming, slamming doors, and banging on the walls so hard our bed frame was shaking. The front desk moved us to another room, which sounded promising until we opened the door and found it hadn’t been cleaned—despite the system showing it was ready. So back downstairs we went. By now it was around 1:30 a.m. Third time was almost the charm. We finally got a room that overlooked what appeared to be the hotel’s rooftop. At least it was quieter. The next morning, the shower barely worked, so we got to enjoy a refreshing cold shower before checking out. Exactly what you want after a terrible night’s sleep. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation, keep driving. The Airbnbs we stayed in for the rest of our trip were infinitely better. This wasn’t just the worst hotel of our trip—it was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had in a long time.

Amazing location, very comfortable room Pool a bit small, not much beach services. Price too high

Only recommendation, play hawaiian music in lobby…we come here because it is HAWAII:-)

Beautiful & well maintained property. Convenient, close proximity to beach & shops & eateries.

Didn’t like the property as per Marriott standard
-
The rooms were clean with great views. No amenities past 9pm. Everything shuts down. Cannot even buy a water.
-
No complaints in anyway. Excellent all around. Location, lagoons, beach, all good
-
Great place, great shops, nice rooms, but the beach is the best! Better than Hapuna, which is rated #1.

I really enjoyed my stay here.. met all my expectations. Wasn't until the last couple days I ordered food to back to my room at the food truck by the pool and was left highly disappointed... if I ate near the pool and not packaged to go the food portions were appropriate.. otherwise i felt completely ripped off. Don't want to punish the resort for a couple few bad actors that seem to have a chip on their shoulder. Ordered food on 6/2 @ 11:30am.

The fitness center is very basic, and doesn't appear to have been update since our last stay, years ago. The food options are very limited, and expensive . The pool bar is also very basic, using machine dispensers for blended drinks and no good options for kids. They had beach cruisers, complimentary. which are fun and the concierge was very helpful.

Shops and gourmet grocery within a half mile walk (you have to try the gecko girlz shave ice at queens marketplace). Resort has a great gift shop with food and drink if you don’t feel like leaving the property. Lobby has a great coffee bar with excellent malasadas (donuts), giant breakfast burritos and Kona coffee. Short walk to a gorgeous sandy beach with water that is refreshing but warm. Equipment rental (boogie boards, paddle boards, kayak, snorkel gear, etc) located there too. Room was clean and quiet and staff are wonderful. I can’t think of anything bad without sounding super critical (like temperature of faucet water type stuff). Pretty sure I’ll be back next year praying it’s just as awesome because I couldn’t have wished for a better time. Tip: bring less clothes. All you’ll need are shorts, shirts, and dresses.
