No complaints in anyway. Excellent all around. Location, lagoons, beach, all good

Great place, great shops, nice rooms, but the beach is the best! Better than Hapuna, which is rated #1.
-
Terrible food in restaurant Cats roaming at night making lots of noise Beach waters are not clear

Clean, friendly peaceful 🌺 I had no problems from checking in to checkout

I really enjoyed my stay here.. met all my expectations. Wasn't until the last couple days I ordered food to back to my room at the food truck by the pool and was left highly disappointed... if I ate near the pool and not packaged to go the food portions were appropriate.. otherwise i felt completely ripped off. Don't want to punish the resort for a couple few bad actors that seem to have a chip on their shoulder. Ordered food on 6/2 @ 11:30am.

The fitness center is very basic, and doesn't appear to have been update since our last stay, years ago. The food options are very limited, and expensive . The pool bar is also very basic, using machine dispensers for blended drinks and no good options for kids. They had beach cruisers, complimentary. which are fun and the concierge was very helpful.

Shops and gourmet grocery within a half mile walk (you have to try the gecko girlz shave ice at queens marketplace). Resort has a great gift shop with food and drink if you don’t feel like leaving the property. Lobby has a great coffee bar with excellent malasadas (donuts), giant breakfast burritos and Kona coffee. Short walk to a gorgeous sandy beach with water that is refreshing but warm. Equipment rental (boogie boards, paddle boards, kayak, snorkel gear, etc) located there too. Room was clean and quiet and staff are wonderful. I can’t think of anything bad without sounding super critical (like temperature of faucet water type stuff). Pretty sure I’ll be back next year praying it’s just as awesome because I couldn’t have wished for a better time. Tip: bring less clothes. All you’ll need are shorts, shirts, and dresses.

The hotel is doing everything to turn guest away. The price includes just the room. No water in the room, no breakfast is included. Everything is extra and super inflated prices. Very unwelcoming. It is a trap. As a greeting I heard “we have you for 9 days “, and they did. For the last time. I don’t mind spending a lot of money but I would like to be treated like a guest, and not trapped.

Minimal food options here. But they are remodeling one of the restaurants- maybe check before you commit if that is important to you

My family loved the luau, pools, beach, and balcony off our room. The coffee shop and lanai were great for breakfast. Overall we had an excellent stay.

Before booking this trip, I was debating on this hotel in Kona vs Koloa Landing Resort on Kauai island. We stayed at Koloa Landing a year ago and loved it. But I chose the Marriott based on my previous experiences staying at the Wailea Marriott on Maui island. In comparison, this Kona Marriott felt less fancy compared to the other two. My kids did enjoy the waterslide. But overall the pool area is okay because the house flies were relentless. No matter where you sat, they were landing all over you. While I feel spraying chemicals aren’t always the best resolution, there could be other options like electric traps or

Loved everything. Can’t wait to go back

As well only one place to get real coffee in the hotel - opened till 14.00 but closed when we came at 13.30;(((( The hallway was not kept clean ( door on room next to ours stayed stained for days, halls were not vacuumed regularly- there were obvious dirts- not what one expects form Marriott) The beach is wonderful though. We saw turtle on the beach- it is shallow and nice for kids - as it is sandy. Yet to rent a place to lay on 70USD for four hours. ;)

Also, I found it surprising how skimpy the toilet paper and the kleenex were, considering it's supposed to be a 4-5 star resort. I thought the music playing by the pool area was way too loud. I did find the breakfast menu food was excellent!!
