My room was clean, but antiquated and from another time period - small. The Staff was excellent, especially Sunny at the front desk and Samir the barkeep. The AC was sufficient and I had no complaints for a summer nite. There is no parking in site, but that was expected. Overall, i had a good stay and although the property is dated- it is well maintained and clean- and the wings and drinks were good.

The Baron Hotel is overpriced and poorly located. The entrance is confusing, blending right into the bar and comedy show venue. Management provides zero orientation; they never bothered to explain where to get a simple coffee or find nearby shops. To make matters worse, the property has a very old elevator with an outdated inspection certificate from May 2025 (despite it being August 2026). The elevator doors are extremely uncomfortable to operate manually, and the staff should really be there to help guests open and close them. Overall, a very disappointing experience with low value for the high price.

Une petite attention particulière pour la dame de l’accueil dont je n’ai malheureusement pas demandé son nom. La famille de Québec !

Too old the building

Thank you Baron! Bon

There's a lot of history in that building but the staff was excellent. Also, it has a bar/restaurant and a spot for comedy shows. One stop location for sleep and fun. 7 minutes away from the Dupont Metro.

I stayed on a Tuesday night. It was clean, quiet and worked great for me. The room AC worked great. The linens were clean. The floor was clean. The staff was friendly enough. The price point met my needs. I'd 100% stay again.

Daily service of the room was excellent. Staff when I reported that the phone was broke ighored it

It is a nice clean hotel suitable for short stays. The staff was friendly and helpful. It has access to public transportation. There is a comedy club located at the same property with the same entrance below the guest rooms. It makes it very noisy. There is a microwave, coffee and water located in the lobby. I miss having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. I advise you to bring earplugs.

Nice location and it's relatively close to some nice restaurants (Daily Provisions at Dupont Circle has great breakfast sandwiches).

Great Place to stay and the staff was very helpful the whole time.

They did a very good job at keeping the room clean. The location was excellent. Being a very old hotel building, there elevator was super old. But over all in general, we would stay there again.

Enjoyed our stay, great location, friendly stuff.

Terrific comedy club and fun tavern downstairs, unique decor, super clean and serenely quiet. Awesome a/c, friendly staff, coffee in lobby!
-
Great location with only a short walk to the subway station.

It’s simple but ok

The hotel was old but quirky! The staff was very nice and helpful and the room, while dated, was very clean. The location felt very safe and it was close to a metro stop. We would stay here again. It was a great value considering the insanely expensive alternatives in the D.C. area!

Honestly, this “hotel” does not live up to it’s rating, the only good thing was that the bed was comfortable. Staff were useless, half asleep or stoned or something. I didn’t have any hot water for the duration of my stay, after raising it with reception they said maintenance would fix it the next day, after being out all day in heatwave conditions I returned at 1am to find nothing had improved, the next day I spoke to a different receptionist who was even more useless, not even knowing the number to dial from hour room to reach reception. The room has an aircon, but it sounds like a lawnmower when it’s on, it doesn’t circulate the air, so I had parts of my room that were cold and parts that were hot. I needed to sleep with earplugs. Additionally, the blinds are useless, you may as well sleep with the blinds open because there would be no difference to the amount of light that is let in. Honestly, if I was there any longer I would have refused the room and got a refund because you can’t have a restful sleep or relax in this place. There is a bar down stairs which sells burgers, and around the corner is a Bagel shop which is the best value for money you can find. But at the end of the day, avoid this place and find somewhere else.
