Excellent, great location

Got to check in early and every staff member I interacted with was amazing.

Nice, comfy room! Friendly, helpful staff! Good location! Pool on roof!

I recently stayed here for my birthday trip, and it was incredible from start to finish! A huge shoutout to Cookie at the front desk—she truly went above and beyond to make my stay so special. Her warm energy, exceptional customer service, and thoughtful hospitality made all the difference. It’s rare to find staff who care this much about making your experience memorable. I can’t thank her enough for making my birthday trip so extra special. I will definitely be back!"

The only negative I have was that the restaurant was SO air conditioned that you have to bring a sweatshirt with you no matter what!

It was clean and staff was great but some things need better updating/freshened up. Some of fitness equipment was broken. Overall would stay there again.

Unfortunately, where the hotel fell short was the rooftop pool and bar, which was one of the main reasons I chose to stay here. On the first day of my stay (Thursday), the rooftop bar had no drinks available, and the frozen drink machine was out of service. On the second day (Friday), the weather was extremely hot, but there were no umbrellas available to provide shade because staff stated they were all broken. There were also no towels available when I arrived. To make matters worse, the bar was not open at its advertised opening time of 11:00 a.m. When staff eventually arrived, they still had no drinks to offer because they had no ice or even bottled water available. Despite the intense heat, the pool itself was so cold that many guests only stayed in the water for a few minutes before getting out. Because the rooftop pool and bar were a major factor in my decision to book this hotel, this was a significant disappointment. While the accommodations and customer service were excellent, the lack of preparation and poor operation of the rooftop amenities greatly impacted my overall experience. Would I stay here again? At this time, I am undecided.

The a/c was broken in our room, so the room was really hot. The amenities, such as the pool, was grimy and seemed like an afterthought. It just wasn’t a pleasant experience. I wouldn’t stay there again.

I loved the room and bathroom and little fridge and safe were great. It was a great local for Dupont Circle and public transport would definitely stay again if rates were agreeable. My only criticism is every time some banged their door my room shook plus the maids talking outside room was annoying.

Kids can only swim in the pool before 5pm. There was a loud party in the rooftop area during our stay. There was a lady yelling with profanities into her phone in the hallway outside our room for 15 minutes or so. She did move to the other side of the floor when she saw we had children with us. This seems more like a party hotel than a family-friendly one that was listed in other reviews. Or we just picked the wrong weekend. We were in town for Father’s Day.

The breakfast was great… we ordered room service for dinner, but it came in Togo boxes so probably wouldn’t have done that if we knew that… and the Caesar salad already had dressing on it in the box so it was soggy and the steak was more M than MR as requested and it was a bit dry…, still it gets a 5 star because everyone was great and we felt like VIP. I know if I would have said something about the steak dinner they would have rectified it… we aren’t too pick so wasn’t worth mentioning. A great hotel to stay at!!!

Clean conveniently located hotel with accomodating staff.

I enjoyed the Ven Hotel very much. The location was close to the metro which you can use to easily get around the entire city. And in general the hotel is close to a lot of main attractions. The hotel has a bar and restaurant which we didn’t use but seemed very inviting. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. The staff advised us on finding restaurants. The hotel roof has a pool a bar and lounge chairs and a great view of the city! Washington was a great city and I would definitely go back and use the Ven. Go!

Great locations, a lot of restaurants around. Bed is too high. I am pregnant and was not comfortable to get out and on

The staff were nice. The Valet at the hotel hit my rental car while driving another car. They agreed to fix it but gave me no insurance info or numbers to call. Said they 'would be in touch'. The front desk offered to buy me a drink at the restaurant bc of the incident and gave my daughter some candy. But while in the restaurant, we were kicked out bc we weren't eating dinner. Third night, dogs in another room barked ALL NIGHT LONG and nothing was done to fix that situation. After driving 12 hours back home, I had to wait another 1.5 hours to fill out an incident report with the car rental company and they are keeping my deposit and putting a claim on my insurance since NO info from the hotel. The hotel didn't offer to give me a break on the price for the weekend despite it being completely ridiculous.
