Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dallas Waxahachie

It was clean but the bathroom sink didn’t drain and filled with water every time we used it. The knob to engage the shower was nearly impossible to pull up the lever. There was a roach in the breakfast bread/bagel basket. I’ve always been confident in all the Marriott hotels I’ve stayed at— I love the beds, bedding, nice pillows and cleanliness, that said, this one had a few disappointments.

What I didn't like is the Hallways were hot and miserable. AC was not working. I also recommend putting non-slip stickers in bathroom and more than one handicap bar. I am disabled and fell while in the shower. I was unable to get up by myself. I had to wait at least 15-20 minutes before my daughter got there to help me up.

They didn't have the room we booked. The floor we were on had no a/c in the halls and the halls smelled horrible. Pillows smelled like mold. Caulking in the shower was coming off and if you were to sit on the bench in there it will fall off the wall.

The Bad: The breakfast area smelled strongly of meldew and felt damp and unclean, so I avoided it entirely. The elevators also carried a strange, stagnant odor. I tried two different rooms, and both were mediocre at best. The first room was disgusting to the point where I didn't want to touch anything. Both rooms featured couches and walls with gnarly stains on them. In the first room, the the door did not close completely on its own and required a manual nudge to latch shut. This is a major security risk for anyone expecting the door to lock behind them. Overall: Final verdict housekeeping needs better support (and a raise), maybe that would entice them to care about the quality of the rooms. Or management needs to listen to their Frontline staff about the concerns presented on the cleanliness of the rooms. It's an okay place to stay if you absolutely just need a bed, but management seriously needs to update the website pictures to reflect the current, dated reality of the rooms.

Our stay at your hotel was excellent. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and the rooms were cool and well ventilated. The stars was courteous and helpful I would stay in your hotels again and recommend it to others

The room was clean and spacious. The checkin and check out was an east and quick process. The breakfast could be better. The pool is very small but if you’re looking to quick dip, it’ll suffice. The hotel was located right off the freeway and easy to access. The restrooms are nice, clean, and spacious.

Paid for a suite and got a regular room. Could not get refund because I booked through Expedia. Fairfield inn gave away my prepaid suite and put me in a standard room and compensated me by throwing me bags of chips from their overpriced food shelf. Will not do Expedia again and will not do Fairfield inn again. The clerk at Fairfield inn also did the same thing to my friend until he demanded a suite that he paid for and they gave him one after telling him one wasn’t available. The clerk lied to him to his face. Probably lied to me too. It proved to me that this was standard procedure at Fairfield Inn. No more for me.

Clean room and nice ac, friendly staff.

When we arrived the young lady at the front desk told my husband we did not have a reservation despite it being pulled up on her screen. It wasn't until I came in that she was able to find the reservation. The shower bench was broken. The alarm clock would not allow setting the correct time. There was not an ice machine on the first floor. The only working ice machine was on the 4th floor. We normally have amazing experiences at the Fairfield and that is why we continue to book with them.

It’s a very nice hotel close to the sports complex. It’s in a good area & has plenty of restaurants nearby.

The staff were so nice and accommodating. Everyone was super friendly and the breakfast was good too. Diana and Nelly were outstanding in their customer service! They went above and beyond to help & serve and created a very welcoming environment. We picked this place because they had a pool and I had my two kids with me. Unfortunately, the pool wasn’t working and no arrangements were made with the sister hotel, Marriott Residence which was literally next door, to use their hotel. This was the only negative aspect of our stay.
