Beach view and pool was nice

Overall I love the whole experience, I will be back with more family and friends. Thank you to all involved with our pleasant stay, OCEAN POINTE.

The location is nice and the private beach is a plus. It was convenient to walk to a nearby shopping area. Check in time is 4pm yet our room was not ready on time so that was very inconvenient. The property was undergoing a lot of maintenance, which I found surprising for August instead of off-season. We also were notified that work had to be done in our rooms anytime between 9-5 (caulking in showers, TV box replacement) and could not be avoided. Staff around the property (maintenance, cleaners) were not very friendly. They had a tendency to stare without saying hello or being polite in any way.

I liked the location, beach, the activities for the kids and the staff. Except for the one guy who told me he would "waive" my parking fee's if i gave him a tip. Turns out you can wave the parking fee's without giving a tip. He hustled me $80.00. The towels are very rough, the beds and pillows were super uncomfortable.

Check-in was extremely frustrating. Our room was not ready at the stated check-in time. We waited about 20 minutes in line, only to be told it was not ready. Around 40 minutes later, we received a message saying it was ready, but then waited another 30 minutes in line. When we finally received the room, it was not what we expected. Even more disappointing, someone knocked on our door before the official check-out time to ask if we were ready to leave. After making guests wait beyond check-in time, pressuring them to leave before check-out felt very disrespectful. The reception and management team did not seem prepared to handle guest complaints professionally. Unfortunately, this was not my first negative experience at this property. A similar situation happened previously, and I decided to give them another chance, hoping things would improve. Sadly, I did not see any improvement. Overall, the communication, attitude, and handling of the situation were extremely disappointing. I would not recommend paying extra for the oceanfront option based on my experience.

Great property, very clean and friendly staff.

The pools are very warm and kind of gross. We watched one corner of the pool collect some sort of gelatinous goo. We also saw chunks of hair floating by. It seemed like there was an issue with the filter or drains because some of the sand washing stations were flooded too. Additionally, there are four towers, but there seems to be only one beach access for the first 4 towers. The activities were very spread out and during odd times. For instance, there was a live DJ one day at the pool, and the next day it was quiet. Karaoke was one night and when a lot of people were at dinner. The gym had two benches but one was taken away. Also, there was no room to do floor exercises, stretches, or yoga, and there was only one leg machine (lots of cardio, though). They were doing construction, so we couldn't use the pool table or ping pong table, and they blocked off parking spaces for the workers. Check in was awful and no AC. Overall, had I known what I know now, I would've stayed down the street. We made the best of the beach and large accommodations, but there was a lot that didn't justify the price.

Was told waterfront got water view partially if you can say that. I looked at the parking lot. Construction trucks all day long right outside our door. Asked for higher floor got 2nd floor. Besides that very beautiful property great staff and bartender's . The beach is amazing but bring your own chairs and umbrella they are expensive. Just make sure you know what you’re getting. Would come back. 👍

Maintenance showed up at my room at 10 AM on my first morning after arrival saying they had to get into the room to replace the cable box. I had no prior warning of this and had just gotten out of the shower. Very awkward.

The space was large and clean and came equipped that everything we needed - they thought of everything. The pools were clean and there the area was large enough not to feel overcrowded.

I expected a completely different experience based on the description and pictures, but the reality was far from it. The lack of cleanliness and organization made our stay very uncomfortable. Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel. Definitely not what we expected and a very poor experience overall
