Cambria Hotel & Suites - White Plains Downtown

The northeast was under a terrific heat bloom (100 degrees+/heat index over 110). Consequently, New York was under an energy alert and the power, coming to the hotel, was reduced during the day. The hotel staff made every effort to get us into a room with a functional a/c so in a 4 day period we changed rooms twice (3 different rooms). The staff could not have been more accommodating, and apologetic, than they were. However, in a king suite the bathroom was small, we had to request a refill of the body wash, and in one of our rooms the 2nd television did not work. The grout in the bathroom was dirty and there was accumulated dirt behind the faucet. The furnishings were just barely adequate and we actually had only one; three drawer television stand to store our clothing. When I reviewed the hotel rankings, on hotels.com, the Cambria had received a score over 9.0 but in our opinion a ranking of 8.0 was more accurate.

Staff and hotel were excellent. Window curtains did not close all the way, too much light in the room.

We had a pleasant stay with no problems. The Cambria room was comfortable with a good bed, although pillows were too firm. Shower was nice although more towel racks are needed. The common areas are lovely. We appreciated the complimentary yogurt and fruit in the morning. Staff was quick to act on a request. Good value, and we do recommend this mid-priced hotel.

Very nice room

The guest rooms are clean and roomy. Very comfortable. The valet parking was easy and very organized. The hotel itself is welcoming.

Had an excellent one night stay at the Cambria hotel. Checking with seamless and the staff was very helpful with suggestions for nearby restaurants. The room was clean and the temperature was very comfortable. With this room being reasonably priced, would not hesitate to stay again in the future

The valet was great at getting our car to us in a very timely manner. I had my elderly parents stay in room 805. My mother came home with bedbugs. The amount of work it has taken to not spread the bedbugs to their home was way more costly and stressful than the cost of the hotel. We were staying at the hotel because it was in close proximity to the family funeral we were attending so the bedbugs added insult to injury in my eyes.

Great room, comfy bed, powerful water pressure in the shower.

but you would have to move the car by 8am. the $25 parking fee is great because this hotel offers a 12pm checkout time

Most employees were helpful, respectful, and on top of things. One was slow and uneasy to talk with.

Clean and very convenient location great for walking.

I liked the way the rooms were set up. I did not like they charge you for parking.
