Nice and clean but very old. Staff is great, elevator is small.

I loved our two rooms with bathroom in between for less than $150, and the sweet and simple old fashioned building. The back entryway is really lovely. The thrift shop nearby was also nice. And the train across the street we hope to ride one day.

Hotel is old but clean and bed was comfortable. We had a queen and a twin. Twin was in a separate room with its own sink. The second sink was very handy. Elevator is old and slow, but I made it up the two flights of steep stairs. Location is great and parking on the street after 9 very convenient. No snacks or breakfast.

I would stay here again in a heart beat!!

Clean room comfortable bed. Very pleasant people to deal with The only thing that I didn't care about was walking in the dark in the back of the motel where we parked

Be prepared for a very slow check-in. The floors are very very slanted. They highlight a New England visual artist in their lobby. It is clean. I've never had this happen in the US before, but they required IDs from both adults. They do not offer breakfast, but rather give you a $4.50 voucher for nearby restaurants which start at $8 - 10 for breakfast sans coffee.. The hot water disappears while taking a shower - I think this might be because others are flushing. ..

Wonderful location with good nearby restaurants and comfortable rooms. One small suggestion: a new awning outside the hotel’s main entrance would create a better first impression. (The existing one is a bit dingy…)

Amazing location in cute town Bed was not great and pillows were awful.

Everything was great. A warning that the shower water takes a while to warm up would be helpful but otherwise all was well. We were on the third floor. I’m not sure if that makes a difference with the plumbing.

Very very old hotel. Clean and comfortable.

The receptionist was very pleasant. The facility is simply warm out, with attempted renovations obviously done by individuals with little to no knowledge of commercial construction. Due to the poor quality of renovation work, it generated doubts that “Life Safety” codes were followed.

Location Smelt old

The hotel is historical, but it needs some maintenance. There's a roof leak in the hallway, peeling/flaking paint in the hallway and bathroom. Staff was great; very helpful. Parking is very convenient. Location is good. You can walk to many restaurants and bars.
-
Historic, cool area, comfortable. Loved the 24 hour coffee/tea service.
-
friendly staff dirty air conditioner , squeaky bed that sagged in middle
-
Breakfast vouchers to nearby cafes were offered, but this wasn't until out last day so it would have been good to be offered that at the beginning.

The atmosphere is sedate and quiet. The room was clean and comfortable with all the usual amenities. This a grand old place that has aging charm and needs more upgrades than it will probably receive. We'll continue to stay here in future visits and avoid the predictable sameness of chain hotels.

It was a great experience for a historic hotel. The property does need some improvement and repair.
