Holiday Inn Express Wichita South by IHG

Staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and smelled good. Professional cleaning supplies were used, no strong chemical smells, just clean smelling. Great for people with respiratory issues, like me!

While things like sheets and towels were clean, upholstery and carpet looked dingy and curtains were sagging. The pool looked cloudy. Breakfast was adequate.

The room was great other than having to manually turn the tv on and off.

Good staff ,clean but need maintenance. My room missing 3 light bulbs , TV cable don't work and you could find corroded metalics parts in the room

Upon arrival, we immediately regretted our hotel choice due to the sewer smell the moment we exited our vehicle. We were told at the front desk that there is a sewage plant less than a mile away from the hotel. After a smooth check-in, we had no issues until the next day. I was told randomly (traveling with no kids) in the hallway that all kids under 18 immediately need an adult with them. I politely said "OK" with a little confusion in my mind. I did see that a lot of athletes were there this weekend for a tournament. Lastly, one evening while enjoying the breakfast area munching on a snack, the front desk lady ran around the corner and exited the side door in a frantic state. She stated that there was a pervert outside the pool window watching the kids in the pool. I asked her if she was going outside by herself (which was not safe,) she responded "yes." I then joined her and stood by the door to ensure her safety. I didn't want anything bad to happen to her while trying to do a good (yet unsafe) deed. So, overall, a lot of strange happenings and bad odors! Only complaint about the room was that the fridge did not work, and it also did not sit flat in the allotted area. The bed was a little hard as well. The positives were the GREAT AC unit, very cool! Also, staff were friendly, just unengaged a lot at the desk with cell phones and personal items.

I liked that there was a pool for the guests to swim in. The price was a bit high for being in the area that it is in and having NO Air conditioning in the rooms, and not enough towels for their guests, and no sitting area for large groups to gather. We had to ask for the lights to be turned on in the dining area. The televisions do not work in the rooms and the hotel staff were obviously over all the kids and sports teams in the hotel so they were not very friendly. When people were upset about the air conditioning being out they said they would not refund anyone but that they would provide fans. Overall they should not have filled the hotel to capacity if the hotel could not accommodate that many people, and do not charge full price if guests are not going to be receiving basic or full ammenities.

Bathroom door was almost wedged required extremely force to open, walls had visible filth, drain was clogged and tub was so dirty showered with flip flops...at least the beds were clean. The overnight desk person was extremely polite, flr a basketball tournament with hotel full of kids - she would constantly yell and be disrespectful to kids - watched her ignoring phone calls to watch movies on her phone at the front counter, unwilling to help guests obtain additional towels, pillows etc. Won't be staying here again.

Staff was very friendly

As always at HIE the staff was very helpful and the breakfast was very good. The bedroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom needed some work as there were stains in the tub and the caulking around the toilet was dry and cracking - but otherwise the bathroom was clean and fine

The room was clean and the breakfast was well stocked.

The room was clean/acceptable. For a King room there should be at minimum 2 sets of full towels and pillows. There is NO mini coffee maker in room. The tv had a small crack but worked. There is only 1 elevator for the property - not ideal. Not a bad place to stay but will not return.
