Buttercup Suites

The floors in the unit were tacky. The utensils and dishware were dirty. The coffee maker was atrocious. I had to clean it to use it. The “grills” at the pools were terrible. The front desk even tells you off the bat when you check in that they don’t clean the rooms unless you ask them to 24 hours ahead of time due to staffing. When we booked with them, we notified them that there were five people in our family staying in this room. They provided three towels and then argued with me when I went up to the desk to ask for more towels. This place served the purpose for what we needed at the time with last-minute booking. However, my family will never ever stay here again.

The room was spotless, the kitchen was small but functional. The bathroom shower was tiny, TINY! I am very petite and had trouble in the shower. Location is great! A pebbles throw from the beach and boardwalk. The property itself does not have a pool but you do have access to the pools at their sister properties, those pools and old and dingy. Overall a great stay, the pool areas are my only complaint.

Nice family environment

The suite was pretty good. The place was nice. We just had to wait longer than normal for more towels and toilet paper. Probably waited at least a day for more toiletries. Other than that, nice place!

Odor- Strong odor upon opening the front door. Could not pinpoint exactly what it was but it never went away. Living room- There is no AC unit in the living/kitchen area (only in bedrooms). When both bedroom doors are closed it's extremely hot in the common area. No TV either. Bathroom- Small is an understatement. The door hits the toilet and only opens half way. There's a pedestal sink which allows zero space to leave any toiletries out. Stall shower was was so tiny you barely move in it and shower curtain sticks to you. No room to even put shampoo/conditioner/soap. Water sprays out soaking the whole bathroom floor. 3 bath towels provided for a room with 6 ppl. Cleanliness- Moved a table and there were crumbs/dirt, moved a bench and there was a dirt towel and garbage. Obviously staff does not move furniture to clean. Bedrooms- AC units were old and very loud. Good thing the TV didnt work or we probably couldnt have heard it while it was running. Ironing board provided but no iron. Inches between beds, walls, other beds. No housekeeping, thankfully I brought my own towels. I would absolutely not stay here again and would never recommend.

Property was very clean. Staff were helpful. However the stove didn’t work and the toilet was slow to flush.

If you’re looking for somewhere close to the beach and be able to see the ocean with an affordability, this is your place. The staff was young and very nice, but not very helpful.

I really liked the location. It's near the beginning of the boardwalk but not too close. The walk to the beach is easy, especially with children. You have access to 2 different pools which was nice. The gentleman in the lobby was super nice and friendly. He accommodated everything we asked for (extra towels, etc.) The common area was a great size for all of us and the bedrooms were nice. AC's worked very well. The shower is a little small but we didn't really mind that. We plan on returning next year. Housekeeping had to be requested—it wasn't automatic, which I found unusual since most places provide it unless you opt out. We requested daily service because we were a large group with several children, so we mainly needed the trash emptied and the sandy floors swept. Unfortunately, service was inconsistent. The first day they only dropped off towels and removed some of the trash. The second day they didn't come at all, and I had to call. On the last day, they still hadn't arrived by late afternoon, so I contacted the nice man at the front desk and they finally came. The staff was always kind, but housekeeping could benefit from better organization, especially since they service multiple motels, including Buttercup.

Was charged 30 hours prior to arrival. When I contacted the property, they said they didn’t have my contact information to let me know they were going to charge me. Upon arrival, the room smelled clean and fresh. Beds are nothing fancy at all but are clean. Insane water pressure in the shower & extremely hot water. Tight layout but gets the job done. The location to the boardwalk and other amenities are what makes this place worth it. Parking is off street and there is plenty of room.

The maid stole my diamond necklace. Yes I made the mistake and left it behind but she didn’t have to be a theif and steal my necklace! We just stayed here one night because we can down early before our reservation at the vibes and boy did we make a mistake. Place was outdated. Felt dirty and to top it off the maid is a their. Karma will catch up with her. Made them aware and they called the maid and she said she didn’t see it when she cleaned! You are employing a bad person! It was on the night stand and we overslept and left in a hurry. Yes my mistake but your staff is dishonest and steals your customers items they leave behind. Would never have happened at the vibes. Ruined my vacation!!

All in all, the best money for a stay we've ever spent in Wildwood. Two pools available, a top of the line ice machine, grills available, and really close to the beach. The room was clean (8.5/10) and the gripes were really very few. No TV in living room (but one in each bedroom) and cooking breakfast required us to open the bathroom window and the main door to ventilate so the smoke alarm didnt go off (no fan for range/oven) and the oven door wouldnt open because the fridge was in the way. If we REALLY needed it we could have moved the fridge. The staff was awesome, since buttercup are 2 bedrooms and we were 7 people they accomodated an extra vehicle free of charge, the staff was just really pleasant. They called my cell to ask if we needed room service and dropped off clean towels. I would absolutely book this again, especially given the price. Minor gripes, but all in all I give it a 9/10. Book with confidence.

The downfall was that we had no hot water to shower for our stay. It was a little rough that there is no air conditioner that reaches the living room, kitchenette or bathroom which leaves that space always very hot when the bedroom doors are closed. I wish there was an air conditioner in the living room. Anytime I called the front desk with questions or needed something no one answered.

The room was beautiful and clean. All of the amenities worked as they should. The owners are also very friendly. However, the water pressure in the shower was horrible. We had to ask three times for it to be looked at. Once maintenance personnel came in, we were informed there was nothing they could do about the water pressure. Our entire stay, there was no cleaning service for the room either. No exchange of towels, sheets, etc. No one even came to take out the trash. Normally none of this would have been an issue, but our stay was for 5 nights. On the plus side, the balcony has a nice view of the beach and it’s only a block away. You also have access to two different pools.

The 2 bedroom Buttercup Suite was the perfect size for what we needed it for. It was updated and clean. Our only complaint was that there weren’t any glasses or forks.

The shower is still pretty impossible to use. There is just not enough space. Short of completely remodeling the bathroom it would be helpful to put in a removable shower wand so that you could at least better direct the water. Unfortunately the shower setup leads to a lot of water on the floor which will probably cause damage after some time.

The suite was great and appeared to be recently remodeled. The parking is also directly outside your door which is great. I have stayed there before and would definitely stay there again.
