American Safari Motel

The staff was friendly and let us check in early and get a ground floor for my mom who was recently injured and couldn't do the stairs. The entire property was clean including the pool. I've stayed there before and would stay again.

This was our second time this year at this hotel. It is a superior value, one block from the beach, conveniently located to all amenities and the owners are wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful time.

It was ok for the price, but can use some maintenance and updates.

For one of the cheaper hotels in the area, it was pretty nice. Lots of space and we really liked having the kitchen with having our two children with us. The parking was a little bit confusing as they share with another hotel so at one point, we had to park pretty far to get to our room. Very close and easy access to the beach and the only thing about the room was that the beds were very uncomfortable. For the price and easy access to the beach we would definitely come back.

This motel is definitely dated! Air conditioner in the room was terribly loud. Hard to sleep with all the noise. The property was not well maintained. The railing on the balcony was very unsafe and there were broken pieces of railing going down the stairwell. The pool area had random trash scattered around and this was first thing in the morning when it opened. There were light fixtures dangling from the poles. Light bulbs missing. It was OK for the weekend, but I wouldn't choose this motel again. Adults were hanging out in the open areas smoking pot with children around.

We called told them the time we were arriving no one at the front desk to check us in we had to wait about 30 minutes outside after driving 3 hours to get there

Unfortunately, our room was not well maintained. The room smelled. The fridge and microwave broke. The TV was difficult for us to figure out. Our sink wasn’t working right, and our sheets were dirty. They give us sheets to change ourselves 😅. The ac was very loud. The neighbors were very loud. My daughter loved the pool, so that was a plus and we loved being close to the beach and the ice cream place across the street was a nice perk too. I sadly wouldn’t stay again, we actually left a night early because we had enough of staying there. It definitely needs maintenance and some upgrading. We appreciate the kindness from the staff, sadly our stay wasn’t very pleasant or comfortable.

We have stayed several times and had great experiences each time.

I liked the proximity to the beach and the boardwalk and the ice cream shop across the street 😁 I did not like the room the beds were very uncomfortable the room was dirty the draws had hair in them I had a kitchenette and there was not adequate dishes or silverware the bathroom toilet was very loose and leaked from the bottom making the floor wet there were only 4 channels available on their direct tv and they were mostly home shopping network I would NOT stay at this motel again I certainly paid a lot for the location not the stay very disappointed ☹️
