Staff was very nice. A couple issues compared to other places we’ve stayed at down the shore. When we checked in, we went right to the beach. There were no chairs for the hour plus that we were there. Our plan when checking out was to stay, go to the beach and use the chairs that we did not get the day before. When checking out, we were told that we needed to return our towel cards and wrist bands so we could no longer use the property. While I understand that there is a limited number of supplies, we have never felt forced to leave and not use the facilities the day of check out at any other place we’ve stayed at.

The staff were wonderful and friendly. The breakfast was good, and we love staying here for our third year back. Beach food service was very poor due to being severely understaffed, placing an unfair burden on the waiter, which points to upper management issues. Special requests were asked for but not honored, so management should stop asking if they aren't going to fulfill them. Some food items like the fried items and chicken bites tasted like old grease.

We have stayed at this property several times over the years, but unfortunately each visit has been more disappointing than the last. While the resort still offers a charming aesthetic and an excellent location—with convenient access to the beach, bike rentals, a nearby coffee shop, and complimentary beach towels and umbrellas—the decline in cleanliness and customer service has become impossible to overlook. The biggest issue was the cleanliness of our room. Despite making multiple requests for the floors to be mopped, they appeared to receive only a quick sweep at best. The floors were so dirty that walking barefoot left our feet black. Housekeeping also sends a message asking whether you would like your room cleaned instead of providing routine daily service, which felt unusual for a resort at this price point. The most disappointing part of our stay involved customer service. My parents were scheduled to stay Wednesday and Thursday, but their reservation was accidentally booked for Tuesday and Wednesday. When they spoke with the manager, Iona, to see if anything could be done, they were told the hotel was "completely booked" for Thursday and that no accommodation or adjustment was possible. However, within minutes I was able to book the exact same room for Thursday night through a third-party booking site. While I understand that reservation policies exist, the situation suggested there was availability, and no effort was made

I could not ask for a better find on Hotels.com Incredible beach view from our room! Reasonable bicycle rentals directly across the street that took the promenade right to the boardwalk without having to use any streets. The hotel and rooms were beautifully decorated retro. Our room had a bedroom with a double bed & a spacious living room with a pull-out sofa. Wonderful fast breakfast across the street. The only real drawback was that our burger at the pool took an hour to make. The walkway to the rooms was extremely narrow- 2 people could barely pass. Because it was an older hotel it may be grandfathered. The walk to the ocean was not too far & I loved the chairs and umbrella they give you. The ocean waves were perfect! The second day was partly cloudy so I loved that I didn’t bake in the sun. The sea breeze was amazing! All of the staff were lovely! I will definitely stay there again next year!

I love staying here mainly because of the location near the beach, the pool is beautiful, and the huge park and splash pad for my 2 year old daughter. This is my second summer staying here. The pros: location, almost all of the staff was great! Pool is beautiful and right near the beach. I was disappointed that the sink in my room #319 filled up within seconds of turning it on, I did report it after check in and upon checkout, the bed was too soft and small, when turning the AC on the room started to smell, the floors were dirty, my feet were black after walking around so I wore shoes and put towels down, there was some food or something in the pool area, not cleaned. The hot tub was not heating the entire stay, no one brought any pillows to my room as requested. I thought the cleanliness could be much better and having a working sink is a must.
