El Ray motel

The property is in a great location in the center of town. Sam at the front desk is very helpful and check in is quick and easy. The pool is great! Its clean and cozy.

Everything is excellent

Check in/out was easy. Parking easy, ample amount of spots/space. Rooms were whatever, outdated as most places here. Amenities didn't include a fridge but there was one in the room with microwave & coffee maker. Bathroom was gross. The pool was the nastiest part of this stay, it was so cloudy, I refused to step into it. I wouldn't recommend or be back.

Staff was friendly , Room with Kitchenette was clean and motel was close to the boardwalk . Definitely going to stay here again .

Location is about all this place has to offer Everything upon getting there, I received my key from the woman at the front desk. They couldn’t find my booking then once found gave me my key directed me to where my room would be upon entering the room. It had picnic chairs, and a table from someone’s porch, the shower had no showerhead. The toilet was dirty and the floor was covered in oil. I don’t know if they pledge their floors or what but it was very slippery. The pool was green and there was almost no room to walk with all of the junk they had in the walkways open wire sticking out of walls when I contacted Booking.com about the issue we were having with no showerhead. I returned back to the room to find out that I was locked out after getting dinner, I spoke to the woman who I believe was the owner. She told me she had no idea why my door was locked. I then waited over 10 minutes for her husband to come which he escorted me to my room asking what I needed with all my personal belongings inside and a paid room for the night. I don’t understand why I was locked out of the room for simply asking for a showerhead. He then stood over my shoulder while I gathered my belongings, so I took pictures of everything wrong in that room, I would not say this is a family oriented place as they are completely rude and lie with the pictures that are on Booking.com all I simply asked for was a showerhead and it could’ve been resolved but instead they wanted to lock me out like I was trash and didn’t belong there so I have contacted the Better Business Bureau Booking.com as well as the local authorities for locking me out of a paid service. I do not recommend this place at all to anyone just because of the location isn’t worth the money spent nor the aggravation.

Close to beach Dirty

It needs an upgrade a lot needs to be renovated with the property including the bathroom for the price being charged to stay there

Location was fantastic-walking distance to beach, breakfast, boardwalk, etc. I didn’t not really have to drive anywhere plus the parking spots were narrow so I also didn’t want to move my car once’s I was parked. The old condition of a shore motel is to be expected but please put in new pillows which were flat & moldy in which I know from experience shore places get damp from the air. I have the same AC as the room had which cools a whole apartment but theirs I had on high and the room was hot. The host reassured me that my 1st floor room will not hear noise because the laundry room was above me, no a room with kids was above me in which I didn’t sleep for 2 nights and I left a night earlier to be in my own bed. For the price, you get what you pay for but at least update the pillows & AC. I also would have paid for the 2nd floor due to suffering from misophonia, noises make me angry & uncomfortable to the point I had a nightmare lmao. It was the fact the host reassured me there wouldn’t be noise and it was completely untrue from loud banging and foot steps coming through ceiling over an AC & tv. I would stay again at that price if the AC was cooler, I can bring my own pillow and please put me on the 2nd floor like I requested lol. Deck was awesome too.

We really enjoyed our stay 😊😊 only reason I gave 4 stars is because the bathroom door don’t shut.

Great experience! Some of the reviews I saw scared me but it was totally fine. No it hasn’t been remodeled any time lately, but who cares! You can’t beat it for the price. The owners were so incredibly kind. They let me park my car the morning I got there so I could go to the beach even though check in wasn’t for several more hours and they let me do the same the day I checked out. Everything in the room was clean and the pool was well maintained. I even lost my key at one point and they were so understanding and only charged me a very small fee. Super close to the beach, boardwalk, and convention center. Totally recommend!

The location in the city The unfriendly front desk man. We got there on the wrong date… and we tried working a deal but the nasty attitude of the person (man) at the front desk was the worst I have ever experienced. Having younger ones in fromt of him did not calm his nasty attitude. We couldn’t rearrange a stay at the place because the unfriendliness and cold heart of this man at the front. No heart…
