We liked the location of the hotel There was mixed messaging when we arrived, one staff member told us we wouldn’t have to rush out of our room for a room change the next morning and was clear we weren’t “checking out” we even asked for a time frame and they said by 3ish. The next morning we got a call around 11:40 while we were out to breakfast telling us we had to come back and get our things out. When I mentioned what was said the day before she said that info was wrong and she couldn’t give us more than an hour to finish eating and get our things ( we were half hour away) I just don’t still don’t really understand why we needed to change rooms to begin with as I booked two nights via booking- not two separate nights on separate third parties. The beds were not comfortable and you can hear everything from the pipes squeaking to every toilet flushing. I also thought the staff could be friendlier- they didn’t at all apologize for the inconvenience of the room change or for rushing us out and seemed annoyed when we asked if we could stay parked in the lot to enjoy the beach on our last day.

Nice location at the Southern end of the boardwalk. Direct access to the beach. Public splash pad and playground for little ones right next door. Bike rentals just beyond that. Having a restaurant onsite is always a bonus. Like most stays. The quality of your sleep will depend on how loud or quiet the fellow guests are. This is not a very soundproof hotel with noise easily coming through the door and walls.

When I walked into the hotel i was greeted with such kindness. The staff was incredible from the front desk to the housekeeping. Throughout the day the housekeepers are constantly making sure the hotel is clean at all times. It is so family friendly. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years and it just keeps getting better and better. The location of the hotel is so close to the boardwalk. Within 1 1/2 minutes there is an outdoor workout area, a mini water park for kids, and bike rentals. Waking up to the Beach is just a dream. I love the local food so much. This is in the PERFECT location.

Cleanliness and the staff and cleaning crew were very nice and helpful! Nothing , I’m a returning customer, so I like everything at the hotel!

Really close to walking/bike path for easy access to boardwalk; ocean views; well equipped kitchenette You enter through the bedroom area, which means it’s hard to leave if someone (like a child) is sleeping. Also proximity of sleeping space to hallway makes it extremely loud. Rooms not well sound-proofed overall; especially when neighboring rooms were being turned over the noise was crazy. Filters in air returns looked like they hadn’t been changed in years.

Location is the best. The pool is beautiful! We always have a great experience at Port Royal!!! Small towels by pool that could be bigger. Pillows in room are uncomfortable.

Perfect location, clean rooms, and great pool. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The soundproofing in this hotel is incredibly poor. You can hear exactly what the neighbors are doing when they are in the bathroom, which completely compromises your privacy. The bathroom should have an exhaust fan.

Overall the hotel is great! The location is prime and away from the main boardwalk. It a short ride to Cape May. Recommendations: clean the pool filters more conservatively, add Queen size beds for a double occupancy room, find a better location for the iron board, that is not under the bed, there should try be a tip request if a person is picking up their own order, consider a cover over room peep holes, allow people to adjust the thermostat to their own preference. Pool is perfect temperature.
