The Ellsworth Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Clean room and friendly staff.

Our stay at Ellsworth was great upon arrival but went downhill at check out. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the awesome manager which was much appreciated especially after driving more than 6 hours to get there and it was pushing close to midnight so we were all very tired. The next morning, when we still had over 30 minutes left to get our things together, we get a knock on the door from an older man who says two words to my husband...11 o'clock, please. No good morning, no friendly greeting, just these words with the feeling of you better be out at this time. I felt so stressed at that point, trying to get everything together with my 3 kids, mind you this was the last stay of our road trip and every single place we stayed out never had a check out reminder, in fact I've never experienced having a reminder at hotel stays ever. Now I did bring it up to the front desk, letting them know how stressed I felt and they responded by telling me they usually give a reminder call. Again, never experienced this at any hotel. However, if they do have this as part of their check out procedures, I'd suggest at least giving a heads up or when knocking, give a friendly good morning followed by this is just a friendly reminder. I will say I believe having lack of rest didn't help either. This hotel is next to a railroad track so you do hear the trains pass by, so if you're sensitive to noise, either bring a noise machine or ear plugs.

The facility is newly remodeled and is wonderful! The location is perfect. The staff was great and the rooms were good. Only issue we had was with the tv. It worked but there were no local channels at all which is where all the weekend football games were. The “cast” option wasn’t working at all either. We ended up leaving to go drink and watch the games elsewhere otherwise we would have stayed at the lobby bar and drank and watched the games.

The room was ok, but it does not have a closet to hang up clothing. The restroom/shower room has a sliding door that was installed crooked leaving a big gap for people in the room to see the toilet. The person at the front desk was great probably the easiest check-ins I have ever had.

Attendant at check in was not very pleasant. Checkout much better.

The hotel itself was very clean, and the rooms were clean as well\. However, honestly, the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable for me\. Overall, I would give this hotel 5 stars only if the bed were more comfortable\.

The Lady that checked us in went above and beyond! She finished our laundry for us while we were out to dinner. She showed kindness and was very helpful. She is one of a kind!

The towels in the room looked dirty . They definitely need to get some new towels.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was great, from the clean and comfortable room to the friendly and welcoming staff. There were also plenty of restaurants and food options within walking distance, which was very convenient. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if we come back to Arizona!

The property was nice The television did not work the whole 2days we stayed. Couldn’t watch news or nothing

Excellent location with spacious rooms. Exemplary cleanliness in the rooms and common areas. Spacious bathroom. Very good restaurants nearby. Free parking.

The hotel was clean. The room was spacious. Only problem i had was elevator is a bit scary. Sounds like barely is going up and acted like it was gonna get stuff. Very loud elevator. So had to do stairs. They should fix that issue.

Well decorated and clean hotel. Reception staff not the best. Lady who checked us in was rather miserable and the Second Lady was doing her therapist job in bar area whilst guest waited at reception.
