Motel 6 Williams, AZ - West - Grand Canyon

Nothing went well, I received a phone call at 9:30pm the night before we left on our trip, that the hotel was cancelling on us and I had to find another hotel to stay in for us and our guests! On top of that I was charged non refundable cancellation fees and when I tried to contact the management I was told that the property was changing owners and I was out of luck!!! If you know that your hotels do not have running water, don’t let people keep booking rooms for them only to be cancelled! I went to the hotel to talk to management about my bill and found the sticker on the door that they were Shut down by the county due to not paying their water bill!! The doors were open but nobody was inside the building!

nothing the motel was closed due to a water problem. I was informed that Booking did not provide my phone number so that I could have been informed before I walked in to check in. poor service from Booking

The facility was closed booking took my reservation anyway 99% of Williams was sold out i almost had to sleep in my car but found a room last minute for 3 x the amount. Not motel 6s fault bookings fault but they won't return my messages. How booking.com handled this.

Booked a room online thru Expedia got to the property and found it closed unable to book another room at another location due to no vacancies horrible experience

Apparently the health department had shut it down a couple days earlier. I was very inconvenienced to say the least.

I really wanted to like this Motel 6 because the price was only about $48 a night and the location is great, but unfortunately, the overall stay was very rough. I do want to specifically recognize the staff. The gentleman who helped us went above and beyond throughout our stay. He was incredibly kind, apologetic, and always available when we needed help. None of the issues we experienced were his fault, and he genuinely did everything he could to help us. Unfortunately, the condition of the motel itself is seriously lacking and appears to be in the middle of major renovations. Our first room had an issue where the battery died, which locked us out of the room. We ended up needing assistance getting back in several times. It became so stressful that we felt like we couldn’t leave anything important in the room because we weren’t sure whether we’d be able to get back inside. That was especially nerve-racking while traveling with children. The room itself was extremely beat up and had very few amenities. There was no coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, or anything extra in the room. The pool and spa, which we were hoping to use, were also unavailable. Because this is a dog-friendly motel, we also encountered guests with aggressive dogs that were off-leash inside the property. Traveling with children, that was particularly concerning and made us uncomfortable. There were also some odd security issues

It was close to downtown and can walk around Every time my key would not work and I’d have to go downstairs and nobody would be at the desk and most of the time we were like having to use the bathroom really bad and it was very inconvenient
