Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Acme-Traverse City by IHG

overall the property was decent. The complimentary breakfast was good. hot pancakes and eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy all cooked. self serve breakfast included cereal and oatmeal. coffee, milk and juice. the pool was nice, unfortunately, the hot tub was not working at the time. we were about 5 miles away from downtown Traverse City. there were a lot of restaurants that were close by.

I realize its the high season in lower Michigan, but paying over $400 a night for a standard king room was a super gouge — shoulda kept on driving.

We only stayed 1 night in this hotel before flying home and it was the most functional hotel we stayed at. They have great places for luggage, the curtains fully blackout behind added trim, and plenty of plugs. It was just clearly thought out well for travelers. It was very modern and the breakfast was good!

Everything was excellent starting from check in to checkout. Breakfast was amazing especially coffee!!! Staffs were very helpful and supportive during the stay!

It was clean. Housekeeping lady was very nice and gave us what we needed. Kind of stuck out in no where. Very dated rooms. BathTub made it rather difficult and dangerous for showers. Not much water pressure. Toilet paper was in a very awkward place. No exhaust fan in the bathroom either!! TV Remote worked only when it wanted to!! Never could get thru to front desk to ask questions. Only one elevator for three floors was a joke!! We ended up using the stairs several times! The side door was sticking and we couldn’t get in. Had to wait for someone to come out! The air conditioner sounded like a creature lived it!! Very noisy!!

Good to have fridge & microwave in room. Quiet. Good beds. Nice housekeeping staff. GREAT breakfast. A big plus. Would stay here again. Rooms could use more outlets for devices. Good location.

Rooms had an odor. no significant interactions with staff but all seemed friendly. breakfast was standard buffet and good. traveled with children. overall property wasn’t maintained well but was close to what we needed, definitely overpriced rate for what you got.

The halls are quiet, but we could hear activity in the room above us. Thankfully, it did not last long, and we eventually managed to get some sleep. This is our fourth stay at this HIX, and prayerfully it will not be our last, even though we were challenged multiple times for having reserved through Expedia rather than the IHG website! Once they realized were have been longtime Holliday Inn Awardees, they took care of our requests graciously,

Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the bed was too hard.

I was in town for the marathon, and they did not offer an early breakfast for runners. I had to stop at a local gas station for a muffin and banana so i had something to eat before my rand. The hot tub was lukewarm. Our toilet kept backing up, and when we notified the front desk, they handed my husband a plunger and made him deal with it. Didn't fully fix the issue, so the next morning, we had to use the bathroom in the lobby instead. I realize they don't typically clean the room when your only staying for 2 nights, but i figured they'd at least come in and make the beds and pick up the used towels, but it was clear no one ever came in our room while we were gone. Would not recommend.
