Great stay
-
Initially they assigned us to a room that had not yet been turned over. I called the front desk and they were super helpful and put us in a room closer to the pool. The rooms are spacious and my children thoroughly enjoyed the pools. Only about 15 minutes from Busch Gardens.

The property was ok parking was an issue because people was not following the rules and parking extra cars in the overflow parking. The rooms are kinda dated but nice. I had no problems other than that

We loved our stay here! The two bedroom was perfect for our family. The kids loved both of the pools and all of the extra activities that were available. The staff were all friendly, everything was clean, and there was plenty of parking. We are looking forward to returning.

Love it pool

Dated, Can use a few upgrades. Parking is like a Brooklyn block that has alternate side parking in effect all day every day. Literally felt like I was walking three blocks every time I got out my car.

I liked the pool and the family friendly activities. That ther wasn’t any designated food services on the property. Also, I wished they had daily exercise classes.

The pools and fitness center were nice. Grandkids enjoyed the arcade and computer room. I liked the large shower and spa tub. Our location was a short walk to the front desk and pool area. Staff was friendly. There was a mix up with our room upon arrival. Room temp was 90 degrees, as the AC unit was still being worked on. Tools were laying out on the bathroom floor. We were then moved to another room. While the property itself is very pretty on the outside, the rooms were very outdated and "dark" with dark carpet and dreary paint colors. Less inviting. We truly expected more. Nothing fancy either about the bed linens and drapes. The arms of the chairs and sofa were dirty and didn't seem likely that they had been cleaned for some time. Looked like a step back into the '70s. Although there's no smoking allowed on the property, the previous guests, or housekeeping, left their ashtray on the deck table full of cigarette butts.

We usually stay at a different resort, but found a great deal at the Colonies. It's amazing for families. There is a small water park, playground, and arcade. Not far from the resort is an indoor bounce house. There are also many food options nearby. The buildings are secure and the grounds are well maintained. Check in was quick and easy. There's no hassle to buy anything, which was great. We would definitely consider staying here again.
