Reviews

Clean, convenient to UNCW, beaches, and Wilmington.

The living room area was very uncomfortable because there was a large glass table that was more useful as a meeting room. There was nowhere to sit and watch TV. After the maid put towels in the room, they did not close the door to the hall all the way and when we came back in the evening it was open.
-
The pool was dirty and not useable. Unfortunately we arrived a little too early and our room wasn’t ready yet. There were no trash bags in the trash can.
-
Rooms and the facility were generally clean. Parking was easy and adequate. Breakfast was not so great. The A/c unit in the rooms was extremely noisy and could wake you from sleep. Very bad for light sleepers,

Our stay was comfortable clean and relaxing.

Quick check in, we found a towel hook dangling from the wall. Once reported the hook was repaired promptly unlike the slow drain that was not addressed over 2 nights. We enjoyed the breakfast with a good assortment to choose from. I was refused a late check out because I am not a gold member. The first refusal that I've ever received, very disappointing.

I liked that they had snacks and drinks available in the lobby and a bar that was open in the evening. The gym was okay-a couple of treadmills, an elliptical, and a bicycle. There were also dumbbells, but mostly geared toward men. The TV didn’t work on the elliptical and there were no cups available to get water from the dispenser. The pool looked popular, but I didn’t use it. The coffee area was fully stocked and kept clean and presentable. Breakfast was pretty good: eggs, potatoes, sausage, toast, waffles, yogurt, fruit, etc. There were a lot of people getting breakfast, but it flowed quite nicely, and staff kept up with the demand. Our room, which was a king, looked nice, it was quite roomy, but the furniture was a bit dirty. The reading light on one of the sides of the bed didn’t work, but otherwise the bed was very comfortable, the view was decent. The shower and other parts of the bathroom were quite nice.
-
I was disturbed by the nonchalant staff at the front desk especially when I reported someone left a hair clip attached to the shower curtain meaning it may not have been cleaned.
-
Closers smelled like dog pee. For cleaning service day 2 of 5 and they didn’t change sheets or take out trash. I only noticed they came via fresh towels and toilet paper.
-
Will stay again.
-
Great proximity to the beach, great area, close to restaurants and shopping. Attentive breakfast attendant. Welcoming front desk staff. Will visit again.

There were bloodstains on the sofabed mattress. The elevators wasn't working, and I was on the 4 floor with someone suffering Parkinson who had to climb the stairs, no one helped us or even made and attempted to do. A very bad experience. I would never return.

Great stay!

After booking with Expedia months in advance, drove 7 hours to this hotel. When I was trying to check in, the receptionist informed me they canceled my reservation. No call, no email, nothing from Marriot. They told me the were overbooked and canceled third party reservations that day. Expedia never contacted me either regarding this except for an email an hour prior to arriving.

One of the nicest rooms I've stayed in. Friendly staff, good breakfast.
-
Staff was super friendly.
-
Very nice employees, good breakfast, close to fresh market and a lot of restaurants.
-
The front desk clerk, John, was amazing. We had a multiple day stay and he helped us with our issues, big and small. The breakfast was a big plus for my littles.
-
We only stayed for one night but we had no major concerns.

Better breakfast choices
