Fairfield Inn & Suites Hartford Airport

Good location and breakfast is good.

Pool was closed. Elevator was broken. Hall carpet needed replacement in spots. Hotel tried to charge me for night although I had already paid thru Expedia.

Our room was clean, and I appreciated having both a microwave and mini fridge. I also want to recognize Devlan at the front desk. He was incredibly kind and helpful in the morning. Unfortunately, another guest was yelling at him because she missed the airport shuttle, even though it appeared to be her own mistake. It was uncomfortable to witness someone treating him so rudely, especially at 5:00 a.m., and I thought he handled the situation professionally. There were a few disappointments. The pool was closed, which we didn't know until we arrived. The pillows were plentiful but very soft and almost flat. The air conditioner cycled on and off throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep, and we could hear the rain outside most of the night. Check-in could also be improved. The front desk associate was friendly but had to keep stopping to answer the phone while checking us in. As a guest, I would have preferred an uninterrupted check-in experience. Later, when I went to purchase water and update our airport shuttle reservation from two people to three, she was still on the phone, so I had to quietly get her attention. Breakfast was pretty good. Staff was great. Only problem was the pool was out of service due to air-conditioning issues. We were very disappointed.

For the price, this is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at. I expected more from Marriott. The room smelled like mildew. The shower curtain was stained and smelled like urine. The rooms were not maintained at all.

The room and the hotel overall was clean. A little tired but still well maintained. We got a room with a sofa sleeper. It worked but was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures. Difficult to move around when sofa converted to a bed.

Pretty old needs updating

Said my confirmed reservation was canceled when I arrived after 10:00 PM.

Overall, the hotel in the rooms were filthy. I also ended up having a spider in my bed. The AC was barely working in both the lobby as well as the rooms making it a horrible experience.

The hotel had overbooked and had to turn away the coach of the team we were down there with, despite a room block and reservations made by everyone far in advance. Noise traveled very well into rooms from the hallway, making it hard to sleep due to hearing people and doors opening and closing all night long. Everything looked old and worn in the rooms, with stains on the mattresses and couch. The pull out sofa had a very thin mattress and we had to wait a long time to just get sheets for it. No blanket was provided. It smelled heavily of weed throughout the hotel. The cost was far too high for what we got.

Staff was very pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable. Very pleasant.

The front desk agent at chrckin was very friendly and helpful. People could lounge in the lobby. It also contained a snack area and two computers. Our room was smaller than I thought and both the carpet and sitting chair were dark. This made it hard to see if anything was in it. The bed seemed clean too. It's not far from BDL airport. There are some stores down the street as well as an indoor entertainment center.

Their shuttle runs 24 hours. Close to airport so when weather pushed my flights to next day this was my first and now always choice in Hartford. I forgot a valuable in my room and front desk turned out needed key in a second. At 3:30am I was able to snag some breakfast too! Started my day with a smile. Thank you

Additionally, we encountered ants in the room, which was disappointing and impacted the overall cleanliness experience. Lastly, whenever the air conditioning was turned down, there was a very strong mold or musty odor coming from the unit. This was perhaps the most concerning issue, as it significantly affected the comfort of the room. They also need to fix the heat issue in the Pool room it felt like a straight Suana in there.

Horrible. We stay at Fairfield’s often but this was bad. There was actually a paint ladder in the shower, dirt and hair on then ground. Just gross

Neither the hotel or Hotels.com advised us of such Nothing else available for us to switch too. We would have switched hotels if we knew!

Run down, old, depressing. Avoid.

There was stains on the wall to go up the elevator and a wall in the room has stains all over groce.
