River Road Motel

I reserved my room in May for the weekend of July 4th. It was affordable just for the weekend to sleep there nothing more. I arrived and I started walking up to the door pretty soon a gentleman met me and informed me that they were overbooked and there was no room for me. And that they had told hotels.com not to offer rooms for their hotel It's not a hotel that's a motel but nonetheless. They were very nice The manager was very nice. Just not what you want to hear when you travel so far with a child on a holiday. The hotel is now painted black it no longer looks like the pictures online. I never got to see a room. But I did see the office and it's pretty rundown. But like I said it's a great location The people are very nice and if you're just looking to sleep it is a great location. But I wouldn't make a reservation using any kind of third party I would call to make the reservation and I believe they will return your call You have to leave a message That would be the only way that I would stay there. But they did allow me to park there while we walked around downtown so that saved a little bit of money not having to pay to park. But if you do need a nice place to stay Fitzgerald amazing accommodations and affordable not as affordable as this but still affordable and very nice people very clean.

Good location for your downtown activities the river walk right across the street from the hotel staff was friendly made our stay very comfortable. Something came up and we had a extra person with and Deana the lady at the front desk offered us a bigger room with no hesitation and CJ made sure we had clean sheets after our first night. The staff made us feel at home. I do want to say that even though it was a holiday weekend and they were booked there was no loud noises from other visitors and no major issues and that made it a even better stay. Everyone was respectful of others. Will be back again to stay before the end of the season.

The bed was hard and uncomfortable.The floor was very dirty.

Got there to check in at 6:00 pm. No rooms available, they had overbooked on reservations. We had reserved room several weeks to about month prior..So that wasn't good at all! That has never happened to us before when going through Expedia and hopefully it never does again! Very upset and disappointing especially after driving almost 7 hours to find out you have no place to stay!

CJ was very helpful! I would defiantly recommend this motel to anyone.

Great guy Not a fair question for the value. If I answered this, I would be hypothetical. I got what I paid for, and it was what I needed, and wanted and furthermore, what I expected. Actually, I expected a little less. After all, should I be like others and bitch because the 2 bedspreads didn't match, or neither matched the curtain.....people are so pety.

Staff was nice let us check in early and the room was fairly clean and orderly. Location was solid. No remote for the TV. Beds were not comfortable at all. Not enough towels.

I don’t mind stuff being old, but it was broken down and dirty. We couldn’t stay because four wouldn’t close and lock. Only bright spot was front desk guy was really helpful and tried super hard to get our door fixed

Staff was very friendly and helpful with things...great place to stay within walking distance to downtown and you wont find another place cheaper...Will definitely stay again next time!

Our room number was scratched on the door with pencil. There was a hole in the bathroom door. There was just 2 nightlights in the room so it was very dark. The couch was gross and dirty. We stayed 2 minutes and left to go find better lodgings.

Door couldn’t even lock had to bring all are stuff to the car anytime we left the hotel room and my card I had on file was charged when I payed cash right when I arrived at check in

Great location, clean, hot hot water, staff very pleasant. OH YES, looking for a Motel to stay !!!RIVER ROAD will be on my LIST.

The room was musty smelling, they tried to fix with air conditioning in the freezing area. Beds were glorified cots-mattress on metal stand. I think blankets were clean but stained same for couch. Staff was helpful and kind. You kinda get what you paid for.

The staff was friendly It was very loud you could hear everyone staying in the surrounding rooms

Loved the place I’d rather the door have an actual key than a combination but other than that for a one night stay this place was amazing
