Super 8 by Wyndham Wyoming/Grand Rapids Area

Our stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing due to the dilapidated state of the property. While the check-in process was straightforward, the room was unacceptable. The bedding was damaged with burn holes, and we discovered cockroaches in the bathroom. Furthermore, despite booking a non-smoking room, the space smelled strongly of tobacco and marijuana. While we recognize that overnight noise is not always within management's control, the cumulative conditions were so poor that we checked out after only one night. We were promised a refund for the second night pending management approval, but three weeks later, the funds have not been returned. Finally, we noticed a sign offering a 10% discount in exchange for positive reviews, which suggests that the hotel's current rating may be artificially inflated.

The location was easy to access the highway and had a Denny's close by The carpeting throughout was dirty. I didn't even want to walk around the room barefoot. There were not enough towels for my husband and I to both shower. The first room we were in was ground level but had a toilet that didn't flush so we were moved to a room upstairs. I wish I would have just told them to refund my money and found another place to stay.

Room was decent- there is no continental breakfast as advertised. Would have been nice to have a coffee maker in room but other than that it was fine.

We checked in with no issue, however the hotel looked nothing like its photos both inside and outside. Closest photo to looking like it did in real life was the one of the lobby but even then there is an issue. Granted with time there is a garuantee of wear and tear but the wear and tear of the lobby was a far cry from clean and neat as you could get. Now, the hallways were dusty and the doors to the rooms had paint on them and a decent layer of dust. Going into our first room, we found white mold on our microwave, gum on one of the paintings, cigarette burns in one of the sheets, thick layer of dust covered our ac and our window had no lock nor screen. The second room dust everywhere, paintings drawn on with vulgar images, bath tub was not clean and missing part of its seal, the toilet moved-not the seat but the whole thing- when sitting onto it. Both rooms smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and the second room were not sure what the smell was but there was an underlying funky smell. When checking out we were told we'd be refunded the whole thing due to not staying longer than 30 minutes and have received only a quarter of our refund since then. If I could rate this out of 10 I'd say -10/10. I wouldn't make my worst enemy stay here.

Honest review and not meaning to be malicious, but NO! Stay clear of this place. I wish I would’ve read the reviews. I’ve traveled to many different places and this was the absolute worst. It should be shut down honestly. I don’t understand why they aren’t. So many roaches. The smell of the rooms, let alone the property is terrible. I didn’t even have towels in my room and when I eventually got them, they smelled horrible. I had to beg for Expedia to change the hotel. I was afraid to even use the bathroom. Please stay clear of this place. It really needs to be shut down. So dirty and disgusting.

If all you want is a place to sleep and shower, this is what you'll get. Nothing more.
