We thought everything was really nice, though only one elevator was working and it was slow

Old and worn out in several areas. Undergoing renovation in a couple areas but it doesn't look like it is being completed. One of only two elevators not operational for over 10 days. The operational elevator is in 3rd world condition. Except for a whirlpool tub in the bedroom area the room is just very standard. The air conditioning unit is the loudest encountered anywhere in the world, an unacceptable level. The bathroom is small and the toilet is extremely low to the floor. It appears the "resort" caters to the golfing community and thus the golf course consequently the hotel and rooms are suffering from neglect.

The staff was extremely helpful. The entire hotel was well maintained and clean.

What an incredible gift to the sport of Golf, So many golfers and that great staff just reloads and reloads and accommodates everyone. The food was excellent and my 15 year old son and 17 year old daughter are so excited to return to Surf City 🏄♂️ NC and continue playing this new found sport for them all out of my hometown of York PA. Take a weekend or take a week your game will get better.

We liked everything about it. Little things needing repairs and attention throughout the facilities. Glad to see some things were started. Could you some modernization through out. Doors can use some gaskets to help with noises and light through the doors and hallway noise. Restaurants were nice and convenient staying there. Menus can use some tweeting. Beautiful surroundings and numerous patios overlooking the golf course. Patrons love a pool even if it’s small. Please add one if possible. Will visit back again!

We got there late night for check in and the young lady working was beyond helpful, attentive, and made it a quick painless process as we were very tired from traveling. The property was beautiful, plenty of things to do and the night time driving range kept my teenage boys busy for hours. Would 100% stay here again

On Hotels.com it made it seem like the breakfast was included with the room. When we checked in no one told us we had to purchase a voucher for it. For two people we wound up paying $44 with tip for a mediocre breakfast at best that we would not have eaten if we had known we had to pay for it.

Love that there’s a bar / restaurant on property, but the facility just feels old and not well maintained. One elevator was out of service for the entire time, and the remaining one felt like it’s on its last legs, very slow. Room cleaning - one room had prior guests food leftovers still in the fridge, and the other had the toilet seat up & toilet paper roll messy, as if someone had used it since it’d been cleaned.

My room had bed bugs. Woke up to a couple four bites on my back. Found a living one on the pillow. Took a video and showed it to front desk. They just moved me to another room. Didn’t compensate me or discount the room charges for the night I slept with bed bugs. I used to work at a hotel and it’s pretty standard procedure to refund a guest that experiences bed bugs at our hotel. Definitely not going back.

I thought everything during my stay was at least ok or better except for one major issue. I am 82 years old and need the higher level toilet. I was told there are only 2 units out of about 120-130 units on the property that are handycapped dedicated. Not surprizing, both units were taken during my stay. I did not actually count them but there were many more than 2 parking spaces in the parking lot for the handycapped. I was told the property was built in 1987. There must have been a countless number of opportunities to upgrade more than 2 units to handycapped toilets over that timespane. Don't you think a number of toilets would have needed normal replacement.

We arrived quite late and unfortunately did not get to take advantage of any of the lovely grounds, but the room was beautiful and the beds were so comfortable! I would absolutely come again if I were to come back to this area. We had an amazing breakfast at Noni's looking out over the golf course. What a gorgeous setting!

Would stay there again. Staff was very accommodating to our requests.

did not eat there nothing. very nice place

I liked the restaurant and bar as well as the proximity to my event. The pillows look like they are made for children below the age of 5. No glassware in a $270/Night Suite. Only one elevator worked in the hotel. The television channel options were lackluster and the televisions are too small. The pullout sofa, while not used, should be in a dumpster and not in a )270/Night Suite.

Loved the restaurant and bar. Air conditioning in room was so loud we couldn't sleep. So either keep it on and not sleep or turn it off and sweat. Loudest ac in room 307. Horribly loud.
