Historic Coronado Motor Hotel by OYO

When we checked in we were told the place was under renovation. We chose to stay in the historic part of the hotel annyway and wow, was that a mistake! The rooms were filthy, the bathroom door lock was broken and didn’t work, there were huge stains on the carpet! We opted to NOT stay and proceeded to the office to cancel our reservations. The clerk was extremely nice and told us she would cancel the credit card. The owner, however, has given us grief over this and doesn’t want to refund our money!! Never again!! I would suggest paying “at the property” and checking out the rooms first before paying!!

It was a great location but the way one room was set up was not made for the air conditioning unit. The price wasn't bad for 2 rooms. There was some dust around the ceiling but nothing too bad. Just the room was hot for hours it didn't cool off even though it was 100 degrees still in the middle of the night. The bathroom had no air conditioner was very hot even after main room was cool.

All Ac’s need to be replaced. Specially in the desert.

Nothing The place is gross. The pictures on booking are not accurate. It shows beautiful rooms and a pretty pool. These pictures must have been taken 20 years ago the place is dirty and the room was hideous. We were so disappointed. So glad it was only for one night but a terrible start to our vacation. The pictures of this property should be taken down. There are a total false advertisement.

ACs really need to be changed. Specially being in the desert. Unfortunately had to request for a refund and take off with my boys. Also, a lot of street people in the property and didn’t feel safe. The front desk ladies were very polite and helpful. No complaint with them.

I canceled my reservation on the first day of my stay because the conditions of this hotel were completely unacceptable. This was, without question, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Roaches everywhere!!!!!

Only clean room or dump trash upon request.

i had black mold and crickets in my room.the air conditioner was not on and took 10 hours to cool the room.i will not be back.

Hands-down, one of the grossest hotels I’ve ever been in. I feel like I should be paid for pain and suffering.

Great place to stay before we made our last stop when we moved to Mexico.

There is historic and there is just run down. This was just run down. We had stayed here a few years back and was fine but this time there was Black mold in shower. Advertised free breakfast, this was no longer offered. Hair dryer did not work. Walls were filthy and in need of paint. We were supposedly given a free upgrade when we checked in. I wonder what we would have received if we had not of gotten an upgrade? We do not recommend staying here again.

Spacious room I DEFINATELY going to stay again

I stay here whenever I'm in town because it's affordable. The rooms are spacious, clean and you can park right next to your front door. I would love it if someone was at the desk the lobby when I wanted to check in today at 4:00 p.m... rather than make a phone call and then wait for 10 minutes for someone to get there.. but I'm not complaining about that. It's not that big of a deal

Depressing . You will regret it! For 10$ more stay at a clean place !

The room was a good upgrade..Lobby personal was very helpful.

In previous stay the usual continental breakfast, but now no breakfast. Coffee pot didn't work in the main room, finally set up on the floor in the bathroom & it worked there.

Comfortable room with nice spacious bathroom. The pool was very close and pretty well kept. The location was great, close to food, gas and the freeway was only a couple minutes away. There was no shaded parking and my car got very hot. The drapes in my room were full of holes and the sun came through.
