Super 8 by Wyndham Abilene South

Our stay at this place was awful 😞. Got there and got room and was checking things out and there was a thing of Vaseline in the pull out couch and I told the front desk and they acted like they didn't care. When I booked the room it showed the pool was open, but got there and pool didn't even have water in it. I will not ever stay at this place again. Was the worst place to stay and the AC in main building was not work and so it was very hot in the building. Also was told why booking that there was a baby bed and there wasn't one. Very bad stay don't recommend staying there.

Super 8 canceled my reservation 2 hours before check in. I had no idea it was canceled until I tried to check in. Clerk said they were overbooked and that they cancel 3rd party reservations first. So when I went to check in, I was informed my reservation had been canceled by them. I was really disgusted because if they aren’t going to honor hotels.com reservations completely, super 8 should NOT be advertising rooms on that site.

This hotel is so bad I immediately reported them to all government agencies as it should not be open. Stay away.

Property was not well maintained. Room was only mediocre clean. And pretty obvious pool hasn't been functional in a long time.

Our door wouldn’t lock. Toilet seat was cracked.

Upon arrival, I noticed a woman in the parking lot with a jack attempting to jack up cars, it was strange.. anyways walk to the front desk, its literally 90 degrees in the front desk area, I asked are the rooms this hot?? She said no, they are working on it.. OK. So I proceeded with my check

We had no bath towels. No sheets on bed. Crumby front desk when I asked for for glasses and where to have a meal. And advised us to have breakfast somewhere else. I walked a few blocks to find a pop machine. Just to say the other Super 8’s were fine. There was a drawer full of old bottles and the place was unclean. But it was late and as seniors who were on the road all day, I asked for some sheets that I put on the bed and slept the night.

We were only given two very flat pillows, and when I asked for extra pillows, I was told they didn’t have any available. The pool was under maintenance and not available for use. For breakfast they only had cold cereal and fruit. The waffle machine was down. They did not bring us extra towels when asked. And the remote for the TV did not work and when we told them that we had to turn it on and off manually, they say sarcastically to My Husband that he was half smart. When we went to the front death they were never there and available. We will not be staying at that hotel again. Thank you.

Filthiest room I've stayed in since years and years. Very clearly not cleaned. There were no staff members ok the property but the front desk as far as I could see. Trying to save money by not staffing properly won't work out. Handicapped chair bent and falling apart. No latch foe bathroom door. Broken hanger on the floor. Microwave diasusting. Pool completely dry. On the positive side, we didn't die.

Breakfast was 2 kinds of cold cereal, yogurt, fruit bowl, coffee. Waffle maker wasn’t working, no bread or sweet rolls. Hallways were not air conditioned, bed had one thin blanket, walls and ceilings were water damaged.

The staff was friendly other than that this place needs to be shutdown!! This hotel is absolutely disgusting!!! First room had holes in the walls. Floors were not vacuumed. Bedding had holes and stains. There were bugs in the room. The second room I was moved to was newer. But it was not clean soap and wash cloth from previous guest were still in the shower. No bulbs in the lamps. Floor was never swept. Toilet didn’t work. Maintenance guy was friendly but it was 11pm and was still not fixed. Decided to leave and go to another hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE IT IS DISGUSTING!!!!!

In all fairness, I didn’t stay here. When I arrived, I noticed several windows open. Upon entering the lobby, it was hot and there were no staff/people around. It was creepy. However, they were nice enough to refund my money (when hotels.com live assistant called). I appreciate that. Lobby looked nice, but I never checked into a room.

Dirty, big bug on the ceiling, kinda looks like its falling apart... nice fluffy towel though.

The air conditioning working and there were no bed bugs Sink was clogged, room had permanent marker drawings on wall, no tv remote, breakfast was horrible, pool was closed.

I liked the price and location. The pillows were awful, Very outdated, needs alot of improvements.

Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I have ever experienced.. as I try to think of good things nothing comes to mind The staff was rude, my room was not clean, my remote didn’t have batteries, my room has zero towels in the room.. outside of the rooms there was no a/c in the building
