Hilton Albany

Didn't have breakfast. Location was ok. There isn't alot of Albany that I feel safe in. Parking garage was ridiculous. Couldn't even check in before parking because the whole lobby entrance was blocked by box cars. No clear visible signs directing us where elevators or stalrs were let alone how to get to lobby to check in. Ended up on a the whole other side of the hotel and had to walk completely around the building for the entrance. I'm thankful it wasn't at night. I dont feel safe in the area to begin with and it was just my dtr and I. Lastly, there should be someone posted at the garage exit. There was a line of people trying to get out of the garage and each car had difficulty using room key to exit, including myself. The cars were wrapped all the way up ramp.

The check in was flawless. We were even given an upgrade in rooms. We were a little late in checking out and no one bothered us.

Everyone was friendly and the property was clean. No free complimentary breakfast

A great choice while on business

This is the second time we have stayed here. First time it was wonderful great staff great room this time was absolutely terrible. When my wife and I went to check in the host tried down grading us to a double double room not a standard king that we had reserved. He was very argumentative and seemed pretty annoyed that I wasn’t going to take the room. After a few minutes of going back and forth we ended up in a handicap king room which at first was fine but the room wasn’t cleaned cabinet doors were damn near falling apart the mini fridge didn’t work.

Also, parking was $22 for guests when half a block away there was a public lot for only $20. Not sure which was more upsetting.

Hotel was nice but for the cost of the room it could have been better. Parking garage not the most convenient and I'm not sure what the smell was in our hallway, but it smelled like fishy water??? Also, for the cost you would think they could at least provide some type of complementary breakfast options

Exceptional

I was told that there was shuttle service to and from the airport. When I asked how to schedule I was told that I could call when I landed and they would instruct me on how to get/find the shuttle. I called when I landed at close to midnight and was put on hold for 10-minutes by someone named Brian. I hung up and called back and was then informed that if I didn't see the shuttle then it had left and that another driver was unavailable to come get me. When I was trying to scheduled my shuttle back to the airport I was given wrong information/different information - I was told to schedule at the front desk. I was told that the front desk couldn't and I had to connect with the drivers myself. I was told that If I called down before I went to bed the night before they could schedule. When I was able to finally FIND a driver I was told that the ride was not guaranteed and I should be in the lobby at least 15 minutes early as their schedules weren't exact and they left when they had all the flight crew. You cannot say shuttle service is included and then make the experience this challenging or be unable to help schedule. When I arrived at the hotel I was told that I was getting upgraded as my original room was no longer available. The room was creepy - the drawers didn't close,

Breakfast for $25 was not worth it. It was all institutional food except for the fresh omlet and waffle station. Eggs, hashbrowns, sausage tasted like been on the buffet for awhile even tho I arrived at 7am. Croissants were stale, not fresh. Had a nice clink when tapping the side of the plate.
