The building is new, very clean, open airy décor, pretty nice of first look. The rooms are roomy, well laid out, comfy bed. But the workmanship is sloppy. Like my shower door simply wouldn't close, for example. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the breakfast was varied and plentiful. But the most notable feature is how confusing everything is. The entrance is in the back on the G floor and the check in is on the L floor. So you have to go up a floor just to check in. And the check in desk is not obvious at all. The clerk yells at you when you get off the elevator, otherwise you would have no clue. The Hotel has NO PARKING. What looks like the Hotel parking lot is for the building next door. There is a municipal garage a block away. The clerk had to explain this to me twice, but obviously she was used to it. Very strange new hotel.

Quick check in, nice staff and clean hotel

The Hyatt was beyond my expectations. Staff were friendly we ate dinner at the bar. Food was exceptional and the drinks were good as well. Would highly recommend and stay again if in the area.

Great room, better than average breakfast, coffee in room, and a most incredible staff member this morning that greeted us warmly and walked us to breakfast. A Navy Vet that served our country in not so safe areas of the world- he’s the best of Hyatt anywhere. You have to pay to park but inexpensive options compared to major cities. Downtown Albany needs some love - but the Hyatt Place downtown is a gem close to the convention center. Thank you for a wonderful stay and the warmest staff member you should be so lucky to meet.

Brand new just stayed one night on my way to Saratoga

I paid for a king size bed, on checking in I was told that room was no longer available, and I would have to get a room with two queen bed. I requested a refund for the king size bedroom; immediately a room with king size bed became available.

Great location. Comfortable beds. Great breakfast and nice bar in the evening very friendly and helpful. Staff would stay again. Secure parking garage within steps for an overnight charge.

Hotel was great only issue was parking . Have to pay for parking which was in walking distance of hotel . But may be a problem with those with mobility issues.

Best stay that I stayed at in Albany, my flight was delayed so I had to make quick resavations, fortunately for us.. we made on with this hotel and let me just say the staff was fantastic, helpful, pleasant to talk to. I mean the hotel itself was beautiful and clean etc, the we didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast however the buffet style look clean .. the most important thing was checking in. The Lady at the front desk was really kind to us when we arrived. She took her time to check me in.. she helped me with everything I needed. She truly was my angel that day. . I was having a rought time leaving Albany and needed somewhere to stay for the night.. anyway I really recommend staying here. It’s super close from the airport.
