Rodeway Inn Albuquerque Downtown on Rt 66

The motel is very close to downtown and to the airport, moving around by car was easy. The mattress is confortable, firm but not rigid. Bed sheets and towels are clean, though the room smells terribly. The staff is nice and accomodating, they accepted to male a reservation change without changing the price that in the meanwhile went up on Booking. This is the noisiest place on Earth! It is literally below the motorway and there is zero soundproof, cars and bikes are racing all night long echoing in the rooms, they awaked me even with all windows shut and earplugs. There is also a recurring generator switching on and off all night. The room smells terribly of a mix of mold and dirt, and leaving the small window open is unthinkable because of the noise. Overall the facility is extremely tired and rooms need repainting and deep steam-cleaning of anything else, from doors to switches and furniture. We paid triple the usual price because of the balloon fiesta which made the value for money even poorer than it would have been anyway. Absolutely do not go in winter, if you cant get some air in the room for a few hours, beside not sleeping for the noise, you will suffocate for the smell every time you go back in.

Look, it’s a Roadway Inn motel but good location and nice staff. Room was clean, great A/C and comfortable for this type of hotel. It’s close to the train from Albuquerque to Sante Fe if you’re heading that way All good for a roadside motel.

Wow, the front desk staff was so friendly and welcoming! Dawson gave us some great meal recommendations and seemed genuinely happy to help. The poor landscaping looks like it has taken a beating.

The receptionist - Chris - was absolutely lovely and really helpful, recommendations on things to do etc and nothing was too much trouble Really enhanced our experience

The gentleman that checked me in was fantastic. The place underwhelmed a bit but the front desk check in was extremely welcoming and he even checked our room to ensure it was clean and AC was on before we entered.

This is a "no frills" place to stay. Rooms were clean, with clean, comfortable beds, TV, small fridge and microwave and single-cup coffeemaker. Ice machine was not working. Lobby has a small selection of drinks and food items. If you're looking for a simple, economical place to stay, this is a good choice.

Location

It was walkable from the Amtrak station and near the University of New Mexico After I prepaid days in advance, I wasn't given a room key until I paid an additional fee which was already included in the price and no mention of additional charges in the room description. I always check for this. Staff was rude and unwilling to discuss situation. Bathroom towels provided a see thru elegance. TV didn't work. And no coffee to be had on the property at any time. Other than that, it was a rather dreadful stay certainly not up to Booking.com usual standards.

We had a late flight into Albuquerque so we decided upon the Rodeway, mostly for it's great rates and close proximity to the airport, just four miles away on legendary Route 66. We were delayed and by the time we rented our car it was after midnight. The manager, Chris, was very helpful. He provided us with a clean and quiet room and we had a great night's rest. Would highly recommend staying here for great bargain and wonderful service.

Owner was very personable, we were only there overnight for my son's check in for surgery at UNM the next day, and we took a smoking room. For the cost, I was very happy! Holes from smokers in my comforter, dated print pictures in the rooms, 229s microwave did not work, no coffee maker

Everything worked. Great deal near downtown and univercity for good food.
