Candlewood Suites Knoxville Airport-Alcoa by IHG

Long parking cheaper and more convent. Than airport.

The room smelled horrible--like mildew. There was what looked to be black mold on the shower ceiling. My family and I were all coughing and stuffy the few hours we were there before our early morning flight. I contacted the hotel directly and hotels.com who we booked it through for a refund. The hotel refused to refund my money. Worst hotel stay ever--do not recommend.

The first room 3rd floor got off the elevator and the smell of cat urine and animal almost made me vomit. Got into the room and thought it might be ok because it smelled more like a room deodorizer than the actual stink of animals in their excrement. But after 10 minutes in the room, I couldn’t take it. It was disgusting and I knew everything I brought into the room would also smell. The front desk woman Amanda was wonderful. She switched me to a room on the first floor. That room was across from a stairwell that stairwell door smashed every five minutes all night, long opening and closing, the walls were paperthin. The people in the room beside me stayed up yelling till until 1am. I had an early flight and perhaps slept for 1 hour. I brought a bathing suit because I knew they had what looked in the pictures like a nice outdoor pool. There was one chair by the pool and the pool was so cloudy and green and swampy looking. You couldn’t see down to the second step where you would get in. So that didn’t happen either. I wore my white socks and never took them on my feet in the room and the next morning when I change them, the bottoms were brown. I asked for the airport shuttle to pick me up at 5:15 at 5:20 the girl from the front desk was placing a call to the best Weston, which is where the drive was they share a van I got picked up at 5:25. The shuttle when I arrived back and needed to go back to the hotel was efficient and fast.

It was nice and clean looking. The room smelled of cigarette smoke.

The place seemed nice enough but my room smelled like dog pee and carpet cleaner. I only needed the room to sleep so I tolerated it but i wouldnt go here again

It was clean. Quiet. Staff was nice and very helpful. N/A I was only there 1 night for a baseball tournament and we weren’t at the hotel but to sleep.

The staff was very nice and picked us up late from the airport no problem. Convenient for a quick one night stay

We loved the stay at Candlewood suites. It is well maintained hotel. If you are planning to cook during your vacation, then this place is ideal.

Checking in was wonderful! The person on the next shift was NOT VERY GOOD. checking out and coordinating shuttle to the airport was Excellent (same person checking me in the previous day) ... overall I would stay again!!

Great hotel to stay at when you have a flight out at the Knoxville airport. I was able to work comfortably at the work station in my room and got a good night's sleep before my flight out.
