Wonderful staff - so friendly!

Large room, very clean and welcoming. New hotel so everything is top notch. Very good location. Close to Metro and walking distance to the Potomac.

We had a wonderful stay at Archer Old Town Alexandria. Location is excellent: close to metro, walking distance to the Old Town restaurants, shops, art galleries, and night life. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast and lunch at HomeGown restaurant was very good. The beds were comfortable, like at home. Only AC system was a bit loud. I'd return to this place.

The Archer is a perfect, boutique and quiet location to enjoy time in Alexandria!

The hotel was very clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The $45 per day required valet parking fee was a bit high.

Quick walk either to the metro or the waterfront. Great location, quiet and spacious.

Exceptional

Relaxed atmosphere, comfortable surroundings, very comfortable bed. Friendly, helpful staff. We could not of wished for a better stay. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Excellent stay- the terrace was a perfect addition!

This property was very nice. The minute we pulled up, we were greeted by a helpful valet. Sophia was working registration and she later became "superwoman." Our second day, the AC was not working. By that evening when we returned to our room, it was still not functioning. She immediately called repair, then placed us in another, bigger room. Her customer service was superior. The Archer has a great breakfast place and a nice cozy bar. Centrally located within sites and restaurants in Old Town. I highly recommend!

Loved the staff and the property

The location was great and everyone was super nice. Everything was perfect, but what disappointed me was the dog fee. First when I was booking, I did not see that there was a fee to bring my dog. Second, I called to make sure that it was okay and if they needed to know ahead of time. When I called they told me about the $125 fee and when I showed up, I was told that it was actually $150. They honored the $125 fee that I was told on the phone. My room fee was $229, so you can imagine my shock when I found out that I was going to be charged more than half of my room fee to bring my dog. When I called and asked what it came with, she told me nothing. They did put a small dog bed and bowls in there, but the pet fee feels excessive especially when I'm not getting a bigger room and it is costing me more than half of my room fee.

Overpriced and did not include many amenities (no breakfast, no parking, no cooking/meal prep area, no microwave). For a little less, the Archer hotel in Merrifield (Mosaic District) is by far a better option as it provides all of the above. Plus it was safer and the dining and shopping options are more modern. The Alexandria property also has no place for pets to relieve themselves. You’d have to walk the neighborhood at night which may not be too safe. Bottom line - go to the Archer in Merrifield.

Great Staff!

The property is absolutely lovely. It’s modern, but comfy, not all glass and chrome. Every space made me want to sit and enjoy. They lit the fire pit for us and we had AKB delivered to us there. The entire experience made me want to come back for a longer stay. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property.
