Our room was immaculate and well stocked. We were checked in promptly and efficiently. We were given bottled water upon arrival and during our stay which was wonderful since we had been in the heat. Snacks were available to purchase. They even had Hagen Daas and fat boy ice cream! The staff was amazing. Breakfast was good and kept well stocked. There was specialty shops and restaurants of all kinds. We ate at several and they were all worth going back. Historical tours were available and we were happy to take advantage of those.

The room was clean and the breakfast was good. We parked somewhere else, based on a negative comment from another reviewer. It appears that the parking is directly under the hotel, but not accessed from in front. I would call the hotel beforehand and ask what street the parking garage is accessed from if you plan on using the hotel parking.

There is a pool that’s not even uncovered why?

Staff was very helpful and polite. Great location.
-
Great stay, safe area.
-
Centrally located with walking distance to many restaurants and public transit. Clean rooms and helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was served but breakfast area was quite small. We have enjoyed our staff and would stay here again.

Great Location and amazing staff

The entire room felt like it was given the landlord special. Caulking to conceal creaks. tub pooled water from a poor resurfacing repair. Floor tiles coming up from every part of the room. Floor felt saturated in chemicals. It made my feet itch to walk on barefoot. Room was never cleaned or replenished when I was away. Used roll of toilet paper in my bathroom and only the used roll. Desk leg was falling off. All I have pictures of. Will be writing an official review. This was the worst room I've ever stayed in for travel. Worse than even my younger years going to Motels. The maintenance supervisor needs to be fired along with the cleaning staff. Neither obviously has any care, nor inspects what they expect. Or maybe the just expect the bare minimum. Regardless, I WOULD NEVER stay here again.

Clean room. Easy check in. Helpful, friendly staff. Delicious breakfast with lots of options. Convenient parking. Excellent location.
-
Elevator didn't work leaving only one elevator for all the guests. Pool was closed.
-
Parking is difficult with a large car.
-
Everything was great. Be prepared for the very tight parking garage.
-
This is the friendliest, most accommodating staff I have ever experienced. It's a modest hotel, but with all the benefits of a more upscale hotel. Thoughtful, sensitive staff, especially, but not limited to, the front desk.
-
It smelled in the entry vestibule and the room was a bit depressing. The bed was quite comfortable though.
-
Bel hôtel, bien situé à proximité des attraits du old town et du transport en commun vers Washington.
-
Staff was very helpful with my late checkout and baggage hold. Breakfast was good and quick.
-
The staff was friendly, location was great Bathroom shower needed a little more attention when cleaning
-
Very convenient to the Metro and restaurants.

In point of fact, their parking is very limited, and all the spaces are for compacts; it is also very hard to find, and the map they gave me was blurry and wrongly marked by the desk clerk -- four tries before I finally found it. When I arrived at 9:30 pm, the lot was full and the desk person told me it was "not guaranteed, and first come first served." Not something that was clear from the hotel description. I had to park down the block at the Hilton, which was $15 more expensive, and get a receipt so the Hampton Inn could refund the difference. I got it, in cash, and the desk person said he needed to keep the receipt. The next morning (walking back and forth in +90 degree heat), I was told by the garage that I had to pay an additional $57 unless I went back and retrieved the receipt from HI. I did it, but I wasn't happy. Obviously, I won't be staying at this Inn again, but I won't be staying at other Hampton Inns, either. I may not have read the description carefully enough, but I feel misled.

The room was great. Clearly had been updated in the recent past. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall vibe of the place was good.
