Holiday Inn Express & Suites Allentown West by IHG

Everything was great, the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The only thing I didn’t like was the toilet paper was far away from the toilet.

We were placed in a room on a floor being renovated. Tho room was made, it was dusty and air quality was terrible. We had to asked for another room in the middle of the night because we were getting cngested and sickening. Needless to say we did not have a restful s= sleep. Will not recommend this hotel

Pleasant

Wall paper is falling off of the walls in the hallways and in my room . Moulding were missing in many places and in my room. The carpets in the hallways were not vacuumed the first 24 hours I was there. Chicken bones on the floor for at least 12 hours ,I walked by several times and no employee removed. My shower took 5-10 minutes to get warm. Water pressure in the shower was minimal. The TV box was hanging at the top of the TV. No clock in the room. Guests with loud music. Kids running around out of the pool dripping wet because of lack of towels. Elevator was slow ,I asked an employee where the stairs were ,he ignored me and walked away, and another overheard me and laughed. What the heck is this place. Total rip off.

All the staff members were friendly and welcoming, plus they were good to answer our questions. In addition, our room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well stocked with towels and toiletries. The location was not the best for us. We thought the hotel was closer to our destination but it was not.

Staff were nice and helpful, everything you would expect.

To their credit, I slept in a (seemingly) clean, comfortable bed. But that was the only amenity worth its weight.

I had a good stay at Holiday Inn Express. Large room, great furnishings, cheery staff. Will stay there again!

We travel from WV to NJ about every 5 weeks. This Holiday Inn was in the middle of a major remodel. Even with everything that was going on the front desk staff were very friendly. The breakfast was ok but not what I expected. The room was clean and comfortable. Can’t wait to see the facility when they get the remodel done.

Cons: Main bathroom in the lobby and lobby floors were not cleaned. The breakfast room is very small. Overall the building is under repairs, therefore poor appearance. I would have appreciated a discounted price.

Passable

My one comment is that I booked a room with a king bed, which was confirmed on my Expedia reservation, however, i was give a room with 2 queen beds. The hotel staff advised that Expedia booked the 2 queen beds and not the king. When booking, i did see that option and the king was 10/15 dollars more, however i chose the king bed at the more expensive rate. I am assuming since my reservation indicated a king, Expedia will be charging me the higher rate even though they did not reserve what was requested and confirmed on my reservation. My cost for the king was 126.00. I believe the queens was 109.00. i would appreciate if Expedia would review this reservation and adjust the charge if required.

Not great overall. Lots of work being done. Dingy. Bad breakfast. Kids liked the pool.
