Best Western Plus Parkway Hotel

Sadly, the rooms were quite poorly maintained. I travel at budget-ish hotels of a similar cost all the time and this was one of the worst places I've stayed at in a long time. There was a centipede on the ceiling right right when we walked in (we took care of it), the door didn't deadbolt properly, the bases of the lampshades were notably and upsettingly sticky with dust and grime that was not being cleaned/wiped down between guests, and even the "maintenance notice" paper for noting issues in the room was was water-stained. The hallway AC was not working properly so the hallways were at least 15 degrees hotter than the rooms, etc. Basically this feels like a space constructed in the 80s or earlier for budget cost to begin with and then poorly maintenanced and maintained. We are used to overall much better experiences with the Best Western Plus brand, but this one was definitely a minus. Visited late summer 2026.

Rooms are a bit musty and the place could use an overhaul but it’s half the price of the holiday inn express and much less than Hampton next door.

Highly recommend this hotel! It was very well maintained with nice bathroom towels, fresh linens & comfortable bed, room & amenities! Had an excellent bountiful breakfast with to go choices as well! The staff was very friendly, No complaints whatsoever! Best hotel we have stayed at in a while & very reasonably priced!

The only thing I didnt like was that the hallway was hot. And during the day the ac didn't seem to work very well. It could have just been the settings. The bed was comfy, the ridge was ice cold! I would definitely stay there again.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We were leaving just as breakfast was starting, but it looked very good.

My room was lit all night by an outside swimming pool light. I didn't sleep. I checked out at 3 am. I demand a refund.

Clean Getting in and out

We enjoyed the convenience of staying within reach of our chosen tourist destinations in St. Louis and Cahokia. The pool was a great refresher!

Needs deep cleaning- some staff are “off putting”

Surprisingly it was very nice. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was great. Would stay there again.

The hotel is located very conveniently to restaurants and stores. The room was comfortable and the bed was just right. Free breakfast included lots of food choices, hot or cold.

Good air conditioning, but maybe clean the filter… it smelled funky. Rest of the property was great, close to Route 66 stops!

Everything was wonderful

Great place to stay

Everything was fine. The property could use some renovations, but my stay was nice. The king sized bed was really nice and the lobby was nice. Also, the elevator sounded like it was one use away from breaking down.

Bathroom was crowded

The beds are not queen size, they are full size. Several maintenance issues such as broken ice machines, weird elevator sounds and chirping fire alarms. By 9:15, the breakfast area advertised as open until 10 was nearly cleaned out and not refilled. Plenty of staff insight upon checkout, but were gathered in breakfast room to eat remaining items or outside smoking on benches.

The staff was friendly. The hotel was very clean . My pet was welcomed.
