Staybridge Suites Ames by IHG

Comfortable bed soft sheets Great water pressure

The room was very nice and clean and the breakfast was great, which we were appreciative of. Unfortunately the stay was overall a negative experience due to the pool. We chose this hotel for the pool which was ice cold and smelled strongly of sewage (I believe from the adjacent bathrooms - not the pool itself). Our kids were incredibly disappointed to not get to swim and this negatively overshadowed the rest of trip. If you have a family wanting to utilize the pool I would suggest another hotel.

Very good

The floor in the shower it gets quite slippery other than that it was great

The property was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Breakfast was excellent, the staff were helpful. I needed ice and the kitchen staff gave a bag of it for the freezer in our room

Nothing

Everything Nothing

The pool had a bad odor when we went in so we’re unable to use it

Good stay. Disappointed the pool was closed. Excellent breakfast with wide variety of food.

Amazing room and set up felt very comfortable

We liked the location and how clean it was. We booked a weekend to swim and do family pictures and enjoy a relaxing weekend. We ended up having to find other things to do because the pool was closed so that was disappointing

Pool was not accessible in one week

Everything was overall great, pool is always a gamble, as you are at the mercy of young kids and it being really loud. Breakfast was great too, missed the Buiscuits and gravy, since it was recommended when we checked in. But overall a great experience.

My entire problem with this facility is they charged the wrong card and the issue is still not resolved

I liked the responsiveness of the staff

Great

Room was clean. Bath towels are so old/used they literally leave small bits of cotton in my hair. Toilet paper roller was broken, easy to see by room cleaning service and not repaired. Told front staff about this upon leaving. The air conditioner works but even when setting thermostat at 70 degrees it keeps cooling down to 66 degrees. Bed was great; furniture nice also; kitchen well equipped. Actually below average despite my 3 star rating.

All was great except the pool was not available for lack of maintenance

Very clean and modern. The staff was very accommodating!! I didn’t like that you couldn’t have any water or dunks in the pool area. It was very hot and humid!
