Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ann Arbor - University South by IHG

This was the last day of a 14 day trip and the breakfast was the best of any other hotel tat offered breakfast.

He got us checked in quickly and directed us too the best location to park for our room. Once we got settled, we found the tv to be not working. A call down to the front desk had this gentleman up to our room in under five minutes to fix the problem (someone had moved the cables on the back of the set, which he immediately recognized and repaired). He told us that he had worked at the hotel for three years and he seemed to really enjoy his job. Folks with these people skills are hard to find. My daughter joined us later in the eveni9ng, and one of your staff walked her up and let her in instead of disturbing us. Again, great service. We were surprised to find that there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The room steamed up badly and toilet smells did not vent away. Also, the breakfast could have used some help. Undercooked potatoes, cold sausage patties and eggs. Keeping these items at proper temperatures is critical for food safety. There is obviously a staff member who oversees the food prep who might need more training. I give your location a thumbs up. These minor items would not keep me from recommending this location or using it again.

Great free soap, coffee, breakfast , staff, and the rooms are pretty damn good as well. Holiday Inn is now my new favorite hotel chain..

Check in clerk was not very friendly or helpful. Everything else was good. Disappointed that a $50.00 deposit was added when we checked in, never mentioned when we booked the room. It was explained that it would be refunded when we checked out. Waiting to see if that happens. Not understanding why that is necessary.

The staff were very helpful and the property was very nice and clean. We will be back.

Smoke detector in the room flashes a bright laser type green light all night! Bring an eye shade if you’re sensitive to light!

I would stay at this Holiday Inn Express again. The hotel was situated in a quiet and spacious location. There is plenty of parking. The room I stayed was clean and I appreciate the efforts to reduce waste. No more bar soaps and other single use items that are likely to be thrown away. No complaints from me!

Very clean and kept up with hotel. The breakfast was absolutely awesome. Had everything and then what felt like things I didn’t even know could be included in a hotel breakfast

Wonderfully, clean hotel! Comfortable beds!

First, we appreciate that this property has mobility accessible rooms. It can be a challenge to find hotels with rooms that have grab bars in the bathroom. Our room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The gentleman who checked us on was very friendly and helpful.

Chris that assisted us with check in was very friendly and kind. Room was clean and when we had any other interaction with staff they were all very nice and asked if we were enjoying our stay or needed anything. Only complaint - the workout room was extremely hot!

convenient location right off I-94. Property is well maintained and very clean. Breakfast was good. Coffee available 24 hours. Walk in shower was great, and the bed was perfect.

Likes: friendly front desk staff. Breakfast was decent, snack bar was good. Dislikes: room wasn’t cleaned after 1st night, had to ask for clean towels, had to ask for linens for pull out bed, suite was small, hand soap (pump) was mounted too tall for our daughter and requested bar soap. Our stay was just “meh” and likely would not stay here again.

This was a beautiful Holiday Inn Express in a quiet area on the outskirts of Ann Arbor with lovely landscaping. The room was comfortable and roomy with a great bed. The bathroom shower was easy to use and had all toiletries. We were happy to have a microwave and small refrigerator. All of the staff were friendly. All together it created a great impromptu summer overnighter for us as a retired couple on a budget!
