Candlewood Suites Annapolis by IHG

Great Hotel in Annapolis. Very clean and staff very friendly. Not far from the major attractions. Love the fact that they have a kitchen in the room. Beds were comfy and hotel was very quiet.

The room was clean. The staff was exceptionally. Very friendly. I would definitely recommend.

We stayed at the property prior to this stay and we were quite happy with our stay. This stay began with a third floor room. The smell of weed was overwhelming when we exited the elevator and our room smelled of cigar smoke. After contacting the front desk we were offered a room on the first floor. No smoke smell but it was evident it was a pet friendly room. Dog hair and scratches on doorframes. The a/c was able to cool the room but did nothing for the humidity. The temps outside were brutal but the units were unable to keep up. The final day a gentleman walked into our room without knocking. When I said hello, he apologized and shut the door. He seemed to be staff but no effort was made to identify himself. I will look for another hotel for future visits.

Not a bad place but they charged us the deposit instead of only holding it for incidentals.

When I entered my room, I pulled back the comforter and found crumbs and hair on the sheets. It was clear that the bedding had not been changed and that the bed had simply been made up from the previous guest. I immediately returned to the front desk to address the issue. The front desk associate was very kind and offered to move me to another room. However, given that this appeared to be a larger cleanliness and housekeeping issue, I was not comfortable staying at the property and requested a refund instead. I appreciate that the front desk employee was polite and helpful, but unfortunately that does not make up for the condition of the facility. The hotel appeared dirty, had a noticeable smoke smell, showed signs of poor maintenance, and the lack of proper sheet changes was unacceptable.

Most all the “residents” there have dogs. Saw lots of all sized dogs. They do not serve a breakfast here.

Friendly staff, the rooms were large and had fridge, dishwasher, huge TV, terrific bathroom with excellent clean water and A/C in a city where many airbnbs do not have reliable A/C or clean water. Also quite soundproof rooms - excellent value.

Overall, the room was very comfortable and clean. Unfortunately, they don't offer breakfast, but there is free coffee. However, there is a kitchen with all the essentials to make your own food. Nobody was waiting when we arrived to check in

Booked online early 4th of July (like 6am) They called me later around 4pm and said they no longer have a room after it was confirmed which left us in a pretty tough spot that night. We looked online again later that day and noticed 3 rooms were available and we rebooked - they called 20 mins later to cancel again

Staff was great and everything was clean but I wish they would consider adding a breakfast option. Would have been nice to have a hot tub or pool available.
