Hampton Inn & Suites Arlington Crystal City DCA

Location is great for DCA access. Some staff was pleasant; some not so pleasant. The rooms are nice and clean. Over the course of our 12 hour stay, the electricity went out multiple times and did not appear to be out in the adjoining businesses. It always came back on fairly quickly afterwards, but it messed up the elevators. There’s not nearly enough staff for the breakfast area on a Sunday morning. Should be adjusted based on occupancy. The shuttle bus is prompt; is in disrepair with seats busted and door very hard to open. Parking for check-in is terrible and $49/might for parking is absurd.

We had a great experience here. Their free shuttle from the airport was easy and fast. They stored our luggage for us due to arriving early. Our room was very clean with nice amenities. Great breakfast bar!! Definitely recommend.

Overcharged and lack of communication

Everything was great except for 2 of 3 elevators being out of order.

I am in this area frequently and decided to try this hotel. I was very impressed. The hotel was very clean; staff was friendly and helpful (helped me upload the app for points). There are a lot of food and shopping options very close by. I will definitely stay here again.

Quick stay

Everything was clean, the breakfast was great and it was close to the Metro station. I would stay there again.

I booked a king bed room and was put in a queen. The staff quickly fixed it when I brought it to their attention but it was a bit of a hassle to move rooms. The sink in the bathroom drained SO SLOWLY! Also the layout for the bathroom was very awkward. Parking was expensive. I’m paying to stay at your hotel and you’re charging me over $48 a night to park there? The room was nice and comfortable. In general the hotel looked a bit run down.

The hotel was quite busy but ONLY HAD ONE operating elevator for 10 floors. This meant that throughout our 4 night stay (Mon-Thursday) we had longer waits each time we were trying to reach our rooms on the 7th and 8th floor. At busy times the cleaning staff had to wait through numerous lifts even before they could access their floors.

The room was clean and did not have cookie-cutter hotel decor. The airport shuttle was easy to access and the driver was very friendly.

Location so close to airport. Very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Check in staff weren’t great. Gave limited information in a very quiet and mumbling voice making it very difficult to hear and understand. Most information was given while trying to pay on payment machine and didn’t tell us about 10% off dining next door until we asked them. I wonder what training is given to reception staff to communicate clearly with people on arrival.

Room was clean and staff was friendly. Will stay again in the future.

The hotel itself is very clean, updated, and provided good breakfast. However, it was Ashia who made our stay absolutely wonderful.
