Holiday Inn National Airport/Crystal City by IHG

When I made the reservation I requested a lower floor for my elderly mother when we arrived they had forgotten to book us on a lower floor and tried to put us on the 8th floor not a great way to start a vacation. The room that we ended up staying in needed some updates the dresser was busted and so the drawers wouldn’t stay shut. The hair dryer was hanging by the ironing board in the room not in the bathroom where you would think it would be. The toilet paper holder continue to fall off the wall.

Overall, a great stay! However, things would be easier if they had a water refill station on every floor.

The water quality is absolutely terrible at the hotel. It stinks of a swamp. Despite the Kurig coffee maker in the room it is impossible to use it because of the water. Inside Kurig it smells very bad, too. There is no hot water for tea or noodles anywhere at the hotel. The front desk staff are pleasant, but not actually helpful due to general ignorance about their job. They just don't know.

It was a clean room. Comfortable mattress. The restaurant for breakfast was great. The restaurant for dinner, Murphys, needs more options. I’d stay there again due to its location. Water pressure was decent too. Housekeeping was amazing. The outside needs some curb appeal I think.

It was very clean, with a comfortable bed and pillows. We stayed for just one night; it’s convenient that the airport is literally a 5-minute drive away. I didn't like the price—it was too high. I also didn't like that you have to use your room key to operate the elevator—especially when you're carrying things and also have to hold onto the card.

MIMI deserves employee of the year. She has a warm welcome, kind and sweet.

All was good. Breakfast could have been better.

When we got there the parking was inside the hotel. Which that costed you another 44.00. Unexpected cost. The room was clean but very small. No balconies. Staff really didnt know English.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The airport shuttle made it very convenient for us to ride the metro. The proximity of the the hotel to the airport couldn't have been any better. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. Having breakfast at the hotel helped start our day ready to tour the city.

Near the metro to go into dc. Also near some restaurants. I would recommend.

Good location. Rooms and bathroomneed upgrade. Someone had smoked in the non-smoking floor and the smell was awful.

Stayed near the elevator and the ringing of the elevator doors kept me up.

Location, location, location

Great location close to DCA shuttle runs every 30 minutes. Try not to pay any more than ---$ per night nothing special
