Clean room, ac worked well, clean breakfast room: would have liked a few more selections. Staff was very helpful.

My shower water soaked the floor.

The room was generally clean and comfortable, with only a few minor issues (the microwave needed cleaning, for example). We did see a cockroach in the bathroom, but the staff was very friendly and immediately moved us to another room without any hassle. The only other downside was some noise from what seemed to be a bird’s nest outside our third-floor window. Overall, the staff’s quick response and helpful attitude made for a decent stay.

I searched for a room in Carlsbad and it offered La Quinta. There is a La Quinta in Carlsbad NM. With out realizing Expedia was not offering the Laquinta in Carlsbad, I booked it and realized it was In Artesia 50 minutes the opposite direction to The Carlsbad Cavern. I called Expedia with in 5 maybe 10 minutes. They said they could refund my money if the Hotel agreed. I called the Hotel and talked to the attendant and he was not frienldly at all. He refused and said it was company policy. I had Expedia call and they got the same result. It may not have such a problem if the Manager at the La Quinta in Artesia New Mexico was a little nicer an concilitory conciliatory about the matter. We travel alot and will not use the La Quinta Hotel anymore.

Well, I always have high hope for LaQuinta but once again they charged my account three different times-.the same room rate Very frustrating when the attitude is, "Well, we don't see it on our end, you need to call the bank." Not sure how charging for 2 nights is so challenging.

We enjoyed our stay at the Quinta Hotels, we always appreciate a well-kept hotel with clean bathrooms. Bed and pillows were comfortable, felt and smelled cleaned, although they forgot to install the shower curtain, our overall stay was very pleasant.
