Hotel Magdalena

Really loved the front desk team despite not remembering the names of the two women who assisted and were outstanding. Pool bartender was also very gracious. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bed was a bit low, but I can't complain because it was comfortable. Property was quiet and nicely maintained. I would definitely return and plan to.

Wonderful location on S Congress close to restaurants and entertainment, and a short walk away from the Capitol. On the pricey side if you’re just looking for a play to stay after you’re done playing in Austin.

The hotel feels like staying in a tree house. Great location for walking distance from shops and restaurants. Great pool, wish it had more seating. Door to the bathroom in our room was a pocket door and difficult to pull out and very loud. Small thing but besides that everything was great!

Incredible stay at the Magdalena. The service was impeccable and the decor fantastic. Dom will take care of you by the perfect salt water pool when you need to cool down in the Texas heat. Near all the hot spots on South Congress too!

I really love this hotel kind of booked it last minute, but it turned out to be a perfect choice super stylish. The location is amazing very friendly staff and they love the dog. The hotel ground is absolutely gorgeous. Room is more on the minimal side and industrial chic, but I was very comfortable 10 out of 10 for everything

Great location! So many things within walking distance shopping, dinning, coffee. The hotel is nestled away. Love the atmosphere!

The location near congress ave was perfect. Easy to walk to Many stores, restaurants, and live music venues. The elevator button was not working. This made it more inconvenient for packing luggage up and down.

Great location, great hotel

I did not like that we paid for a suite and it was not ready upon check in, the mini bar was empty and never stocked after we asked, and we could not sleep thanks to the group that was allowed to be in the pool from 11:30pm to 2am right outside our window. Speaking of not sleeping, the air conditioning unit in suite 219 needs to be checked because it makes excessive noise when it kicks in overnight.

Place was beautiful! Aesthetically gorgeous, in the middle of Soco - walk outside and there’s everything fun about Austin right there! Hotel also had Equipment room vinyl + cocktail listening bar and a delicious restaurant, gorg pool on site so we were truly able to maximize! We wish we had more time, Ty!!!

upon arrival at 4pm a pool party with extremely loud music started. I called the Front Desk to ask what was going on and he attempted to gaslight me into thinking there was no music. It took me about 5 to 10 minutes of convincing him to stick his head outside to prove to him that there was a concert going on. He had no idea. later I realize that my room was getting hot and had an engineer come out to check the AC. Turns out the AC had completely broken and they needed to have me move rooms entirely. After everything settled down it was a fine day but I didn't get a single apology or any explanation to the gaslighting or then putting me into a room with a broken AC.

Fantastic location right off SoCo just enough so street noise is not an issue. Easy walking distance to all that SoCo has to offer. Great pool and pool bar as well. Rooms are a good size and very unique decor that matches Austin vibe. Highly recommend and will return again on next visit.

I'm a local in Austin, but have booked many clients lodging here before, so when I had a free weekend, I decided to book two nights for my girlfriend and myself. We had the best time relaxing by the pool and enjoying our room. It was refreshing, quiet, and the staff was very kind and helpful. Definitely would stay here again!

Cool vibe and great location for walking South of Congress. 4th floor elevator was broken so you needed to walk up.
