Bakersfield Marriott at the Convention Center

Staff was nice and helpful. Overall facility very poor. Will avoid, unless it is only choice I have.

The first staff contact was at the check-in desk. The woman was trying to explain the features of the "Concierge" room to me, but she spoke in a low voice and seemed uncertain. Thereafter, all the other staff were excellent, very helpful.

Clean and comfortable room

The ac unit worked less than satisfactory. The room did not cool down until sun went down.

The air conditioner was extremely loud every time it turned on. It woke us up several times

Hotel is definitely an older hotel but it was clean and the pick up and drop off service was excellent mostly because we had a late flight at midnight. They don’t offer no coffee in the morning and expect to pay 5.00 for a small cup.

Very clean and great service

We ate at the hotel for both dinner and breakfast as it was literally too hot to go anywhere else. The food was wonderful. Meeting facilities were warm, too warm but we were advised that the property was operating on a generator. That considered, it is understandable. I had booked two rooms, one for a colleague. My room was comfortable, but hers was quite warm, even after staff made some adjustments. It would have been helpful to know about the issues and to have received a discount of some sort. Again though, I will sing the praises of the staff. Thank you!

The only thing I did not like was that we had an adjacent door to the room next door and we had a non smoking room but the neighbors were smoking and the smell traveled through to our room it woke me up from my sleep. I couldn’t breathe.

Perfect for business. Very clean and very accommodating.

Very well maintained property. No trash laying around outside. Felt our vehicles were secure due to staff posted outside keeping watch over the property and the coming and going of people. Felt secure in our rooms due to room keys required to operate elevators. The food at The Nines restaurant was really good. Huge burgers! Very tasty breakfast. Shoutout to Steven (front desk) Carlos (bag transport) and room service/restaurant staff for excellent customer service. The only complaint we have is that our two disabled ADA rooms did not have roll in showers as pictured in room views online and as requested. I had a verbal conversation with a hotel staff member about 2-3 weeks prior to the stay that we had an absolute need for at least one of the rooms to be roll in. We made due with a shower chair provided on Saturday morning at our request, but using a shower chair/tub entry situation on an 87 year old with dementia is not the best. Definitely could have been better.
