Bar Harbor Motel

We LOVED our stay in that motel. Little bungalows a bit away from town, but not very far (5 min drive), nested in nature. Easy parking right in the front of your unit. Spacious (we had two bedrooms and 3 beds). Chairs in front of your unit, trail in the back that goes right into the park. Smores at night, DIY trail mix in front of the dining room 3 times a week. Free binoculars, hiking poles, soft sided coolers to borrow. Good breakfast. We ended up getting food to go and eating dinner in the dining room at night, and other people had opted to do the same ! Laundry on site (bring your laundry bag !), and super nice staff. Highly recommend !

We found the Bar Harbor Motel a wonderful place to stay. The night we were there, they had s'mores for everyone around a firepit; they even supplied the s'mores makings. The room was very comfortable, complete with vintage styled appliances. The breakfast was well supplied with varied options for most tastes and preferences. I was surprised and pleased at the efforts to reduce waste through the use of biodegradable supplies. A nice surprise they had was for self-help trail mix bags on the way out; a great hit with the kids, and adults alike.

The breakfast while mass-produced covered all of the possible breakfast foods and then some- so more than the usual continental breakfast. The shuttlebus stop into Bar Harbor and beyond also couldn't be more convenient. Their is also trail access at the back of the property for certain trails. A great place!

This is an interesting property, just outside of Bar Harbor. The hotel has a series of separate buildings with 4 units per building. Our room had a great set -up for my family with a bedroom with 2 double beds and a bedroom with a king bed. The breakfast was decent and filling. There’s a path at the back of the property that leads to a carriage road into the park. The staff was helpful throughout our visit. We didn’t take advantage of the events but there were s’mores every evening around a fire pit. It was a good value and I would stay there again.

Fantastic stay for our family of 5. Great location for us close to park entrance and easy drive downtown Bar Harbor. Great breakfast, much more than the “norm”. Lots of nice “extras” my kids enjoyed - nightly s’mores, a craft one day and the trail mix station one morning. Would highly recommend.

This is an amazing motel! It has everything, and is soooo retro down to the last detail! A must visit!

This was the cutest property. It was an older motel that had been remodeled. It was so well done! Great for families. They had activities for families into the evenings. The breakfast was wonderful. So much more than what you normally get with a continental breakfast. I would highly recommend this place!

Best hotel we stayed at for our long road trip. Breakfast was amazing. Free snores every night by the fire. Loved it all.

Staff was amazing, the hotels location is great. Little walk from downtown. Only problem was fridge did not work but the staff did try to fix it.

great for families

This hotel was fabulous from our room to the friendly staff. They had something to do in the lobby each day/night for families. They had a make your own S’mores night, to build a granola bowl. The kids ages 9 and 11 LOVED the motel. The girls at the front desk were awesome. We would definitely stay here again!!!

We were traveling with a large family group of 8 and the two double bedroom rooms were perfect. They have a connector trail to Acadia NP that was right by our rooms. We made use of it every evening for hikes into the park directly from the hotel. The rooms were very clean also. The staff was very friendly. We also liked the location, easy to get to both downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia NP.

I have never written a review before now. This motel was amazing. Family friendly, clean and the staff were so helpful. The grounds are full of fun things for kids, they roast marshmallows every night. They loan you umbrellas or hiking poles. And the breakfast is the best of any hotel I have stayed at.

Such a cute place to stay. We really enjoyed it!

I cannot recommend this premises enough. It is comfortable , clean, has great decor and the staff are fantastic. Lovely breakfast too
