This was a great choice! Rooms were very spacious and clean! Loved the wonderful breakfasts and “ trail mix” bar! Afternoon cookies hit the spot too after being out all day! So convenient having the shuttle take us around even tho you could walk downtown .. a little over a mile.. will definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Acadia Inn (July 14-17, 2026). The included breakfasts were very good and well stocked. I liked that the bus into Bar Harbor center stopped right at the hotel (every half hour or 15 minutes depending on time of day) and was very convenient to use, connecting to all the other bus lines throughout Mount Desert Island. The path out the back was nice--it was a nice quiet walk up the wooded hill, onto the carriage path and along the Duck Pond road where there was connections to the other carriage roads, and a beaver dammed pond. The hotel had a lot of good information on places to go and little mini-maps. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We didn't try out the pool or hot tub but these looked nice.

Great place, great people! Highly recommend.

The hotel was pristine with very nice breakfast and snacks. The area in back looked wonderful for families, we just didn’t stay long enough to take advantage of the activities. Our grandkids got the in-room tent and were so excited by that surprise! Such a cute touch! The free shuttle service into town and the park was so convenient. Nothing

We loved the beauty, hospitality, cleanliness and location of this beautiful inn. The staff was so accommodating and the breakfast was delicious!

The staff was so friendly! From the front desk, to housekeeping, to kitchen staff, everyone was kind and polite! They all seemed to enjoy their job. This is not something you see in hospitality. We loved the breakfast, it was great and had something for everyone! The nightly s’mores, the trail mix bar in the mornings, afternoon charcuterie, free bus to downtown, filtered water next to the ice machine, and comfortable rooms! We truly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone going to Bar Harbor! Nothing - I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

The staff was wonderful and there were many great touches that made it extremely family-friendly. There are lots of outdoor games like bocce and cornhole, there were s’mores by the fire pit at night and a movie played with popcorn. The breakfast buffet was solid. The one drawback is that if you are on a lower floor you will likely be able to hear the people in the room above you. That is, unless the people above us were unusually heavy-footed.

The staff was so kind and helpful. It was a plus that breakfast opened at 6:30, allowing us to get into the park early. The option to had a tent in the room for the kids was what sold us to stay here. It was worth it!

If you're visiting the area, stay here! The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. What really sets this place apart are the incredible extras: Amazing breakfast with excellent gluten-free and dairy-free options Morning DIY trail mix bar and floor-by-floor coffee bars with syrups Microwaves, plates, and utensils on every floor for total convenience Daily homemade cookies and charcuterie, evening campfire s'mores, and outdoor movies Great pool, hot tub, and lawn games Super convenient free shuttle directly into Bar Harbor They truly thought of every detail to make guests feel at home. 10/10 experience! Our stay here was great! It was clean, quiet and safe. The breakfast was really good. They made every effort to be inclusive of those with and without gluten issues. Many fresh options. The hotel provided something extra each day that was included free of charge. For example one evening there was a charcuterie board, one morning there was a Do It Yourself Trail Mix Bar. Always ice water and fruit infused water available. The hotel also provided s’mores each night around the fire pit. They had a nice focus on composting, recycling and had a water bottle filling station. We utilized their laundry room. It was clean and just what we needed to get the job done. The location was very convenient to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. We would stay here again.
