Bayview had very friendly staff! It was a very nice hotel with great housekeeping and turn-down service. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious! The breakfast was more than we expected it to be. The food was locally sourced and delicious. There was a 24/7 pantry available for snacks and drinks that was included with the stay. Would highly recommend to others and would stay here again!

Bar Harbor was the final stop on a month-long trip with my recently retired father. Staying at this hotel turned out to be the perfect finale to our celebration of his retirement. By that point, I was somewhat tired of the typical hotel breakfast buffets, so the special breakfast at Bayview alone would have been enough to make this trip memorable. My dad and I went hiking every day, and the hotel staff always seemed genuinely eager to ask whether there was anything they could do for us. I felt so warm and welcomed throughout our stay. I’m not sure whether it was the hiking, the scenery, or the atmosphere of the hotel, but at times I felt as though I had stepped into a movie or had become a guest at the Dragonfly Inn from Gilmore Girls, where the staff love what they do and treat their guests like family or friends, with genuine warmth and heart. I’m not sure whether this was just my personal experience, so please don’t set your expectations too high. But honestly, I feel like I could spend the rest of the year without taking another trip and still be perfectly happy living off this wonderful memory. It was the off-season, so you might not get to taste the best lobster if you visit during the first week of May.

The facility was nice, rooms comfortable, and breakfast tasty. All of these you can find at other hotels, however. What you cannot find elsewhere are the incredible staff at Bayview who treated us like family from the moment we arrived until we packed our vehicle to leave. This stay was more expensive than any other during our vacation, however the various special touches and attention to our needs was unmatched. We are planning a return trip and have no desire to look elsewhere for accommodations because we left feeling as if we had made new friends who treated us like royalty. I have never taken photos of hotel staff during my stay at any hotel, during any vacation, except for servers on a cruise ship. We took photos with several Bayview staff members before leaving and hope to see each of them when we return. There really isn't anything I can think of. They put snacks out each afternoon, and I recall wishing they had just made all of them gluten free, because even people who do not need to eat gluten free, ate all of the gluten free options first. That is because the gluten free chocolate chip cookies were DIVINE. Maybe extend the hours the homemade snack options are available by an hour. There were days we returned from shopping to refresh before dinner and missed out on the snacks. There are options upstairs (chips, popcorn, etc.) but the homemade snacks are something we looked forward to!

Everything! The staff was amazing. Location was perfect. Complimentary laundry service, goodies for my pups, and daily goodies left for us from a candle to socks with lobsters on them ❤️ I may be ruined for all other hotels after this!

Highly recommended this hotel. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are huge, location is close to everything, and the services the hotel offers are awesome. Will be back!

The view from the room was excellent - right on the water. Breakfast and an afternoon tea was included - both very good. Check in could have been a little faster but this was not a big deal.
