The room smelled very musty, so we moved to a different room - same. Staff sounded surprised to hear this. Room looked clean, but wasn’t. Bathroom door was ripped up on the bottom. Bathroom floor laminate had holes in it. The carpet in main was coming apart by the entry and bathroom doors, and looked old and dirty. Breakfast - no hot offerings besides oatmeal. Parking was literally right up to the room doors. Very disappointing, and we won’t stay here again. Too much $ for too little.

Location worked well--as long as you are okay walking to town or walking a bit to get the bus to take you to the main hub of town. Mattress seemed old--a bit concave. Breakfast was not good. Very little to choose from and very little space to eat in.

The room is just something to get by when you stay here. You come for Bar Harbor & this is available so, you stay. Old style motel more than anything. But, it's a place to stay. The staff was not very responsive when I called & requested day less since, my flight was canceled & rebooted. Thus, losing a day. I requested & reminded when I checked in. The front desk said they would note it & gave me parking pass for day less. But, didn't note it. So, I'm driving back to Boston on highway & get called about leaving early. I explained to him situation & hopefully Adam straightened ot out.

Staff was nice , rooms were clean. It was 1 mile walk to Main St. and breakfast was included.

Staff and location were great. Directly across from The Cat ferry and the Island Emplorer free bus service. Would definitely stay here again!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!! There was multiple things wrong with my stay! But the final thing that drew the line was BED BUGS IN MY BED! I found bed bugs and immediately called the front desk the employees on site immediately came to the room and asked to see them for themselves, then called their manager and send the manager a picture told us that they would talk and when we had our bags packed to come downstairs. We get our bags packed and head down hoping to get put in another room, we were NOT OFFERED ANOTHER ROOM OR A REFUND JUST A CLEANING!!! If you know anything about bed bugs that does not get rid of it we refused that then I spoke to the manager on the phone and they said that we were LYING??? THERE WAS MULTIPLE BED BUGS AND WE WERE THE ONES LYING WITH SOLID PROOF? I then was told there would be no refund no other room, maybe just a cleaning..worst place I have ever stayed and staff treated the situation terribly!!

Standard free breakfast, staff checked if we wanted extra towels or anything, balcony with chairs and small table gave extra space. Road noise was the only drawback.
-
Location, Parking Cons: Breakfast, bathroom very small and not ventilated, window ac was dirty and broken, holes in the wall, creaky floors
-
Room was clean, staff was great. Would stay again!

The Pros * Friendly Staff: Welcoming service helps soften the property's rough edges. * Location: Reasonably close to downtown Bar Harbor: best accessed by car, though walkable or bikeable. * Recent Updates: Rooms feature a modernized, clean shower. The Cons * Road Noise: All rooms face the busy street, making traffic a constant issue for light sleepers. Bring earplugs. * Poor Sealing: Inexpensive or poorly installed windows and a drafty entry door let in light and sound around the frame. The Verdict The staff and proximity to town are highlights, but poor soundproofing and drafty doors hurt the comfort. I would stay here again only if there were no better options.

Not far from town
-
Rooms were dirty, dusty with spider webs. Smelt musty and moldy. Air conditioning didn’t work, we moved rooms and it was equally as bad. Checked out immediately and found a new place to stay
-
I had no parking space. I had to park across the street. Poor layout of bathroom. Ice bucket water was never emptied..so I wonder if the room was even cleaned. And you could barely open and close our room door...it's like the door didn't fit..

Most reasonable prices for Bar Harbor.
-
It was very clean and staff was amazing
-
The bathroom really needed to be updated and the breakfast left much to be desired. The juice machine was broken, and there was nothing warm available. Everything was cold and packaged like grabbing something from the gas station.
-
It is perfectly placed for the CAT ferry and the Island Explorer. Breakfast is basic and the road noise is noticeable.

The room was clean when we arrived, but was not cleaned at any point of our 5-night stay (even though their stated policy is to clean every three days). We had to ask for fresh towels and for our trash to be taken out, which was done promptly. For the price we paid (over $250/night) the continental breakfast left something to be desired (cereal, bad oatmeal, bad fruit, good coffee, granola bars, yogurt, and hardboiled eggs). All this being said, it is a great location, being on the buses for Acadia, and that is what you are really paying for. Staff were polite and helpful when we interacted with them.
-
The location is convenient to Acadia park, but other than that I wouldn’t stay here. Any other place would be better.

Great location, but spend a little extra money and stay somewhere nicer. The room was musty. When you stepped on the floor on the bathroom, water would seep up through the laminate flooring. Not great. I also had to empty a dehumidifier which was already in the room - multiple times during our two night stay. I know humidity is an issue on an island, but it was literally sunny and 70 for the three days we were there.
