My son and I drove rather than flying to Maine from KS so we could afford the resort with an ocean view we booked. At check in we realized Hotels.com did a bait and switch and sold us a room that wasn't available. We drove almost 40 hours & at the time everything in the area was sold out so we didn't have a choice to stay. The hotel offered free breakfast, which was poor but when you've been taken advantage of you have no choice. The staff is super slow, room is very hot and not many selections and nothing is very good. My son's fruit parfait had moldy raspberries in it. We also ate at restaurant first night and it was poor. The room is average at best not what one would expect for $700 a night. Since we drove we had a lot of stuff with us & a full schedule. After the second night hotel offered to move us to a different room. After a long day the last thing we wanted to do was spend a few hours packing, moving and unpacking. If we had realized we weren't getting what we reserved we would have NEVER reserved a regular room there to only realize the place is average is just disappointing. I stay at Holiday Inns a lot & I have usually had good luck and get points. With hotels.com I didn't get my points, way over paid for an average room stay. If this is what we were going to get I would have moved inland a few miles and got a room for several hundred less a night. Hotels.com has basically offered a small credit and Holiday Inn almost nothing..very disappointing!!!

Great location on water, near both town of bar harbor and entrance to Acadia , family friendly with heated pool and hot tub, and 2 restaurants on site.

Loved the beautiful location on the water. It was quiet and relaxing after a busy day in the park hiking. We ate once at the restaurant on the water there, Stewmans, and it was lovely sitting outside.

Beautiful property in a great location. Very new and clean. Great water pressure. Great lighting and charging options. Comfortable beds.

The WiFi was spotty at best, often nonexistent. Cell service is one bar territory, so be warned. Expedia offered an accessible room. We certainly have stayed at other properties with accessible rooms, but the bathroom here took 1/4 of the hotel room. We were in a building separate from the main building where all the ‘resort’ amenities were. Felt like we were in a government office building. There are much better properties than here. We have stayed in them in Bar Harbor in the past.

The place was well maintained. The view from our room was awesome! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked this place at the spur of the moment and were so surprised. It was so close to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia that we will stay there again

All of the above and more. The view was extraordinary and the location to Acadia was perfect

Great location and entry point for the park & downtown.

The hotel's location is perfect, not only because of its view but because its proximity to Bar Harbor downtown. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The hotel has good amenities. However, our check in experience was not good. Our room wasn't ready and we weren't notified when it was. The lady didn't give us any information about shuttle services (I believe there is), or check out time, or restaurant options. She was less than helpful. We had dinner at the italian restaurant and they made us wait 40 minutes for our food, which was less than average. The server apologized for the delay but they didn't offer a treat to make it up. So overall, I rate their customer service as really poor.

Beautiful accommodations. Wonderful stay. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very clean. I wish there would have been a microwave in the room, but there was one easily accessible near the lobby. Not a big deal.

When choosing a room, make sure you check the photos carefully. I thought we booked an Ocean front, Ocean view. The hotel has 2 different rooms for that description. One does have an Ocean view, but you are overlooking the pool and lawn area. The other room, Ocean front, Ocean view, is called a suite, and it is right by the water. Different perspective. I had stayed at the one labeled "Suite" and is building 2, We booked a Premium, Ocean front, Ocean view and it is in main building and didn't realize the difference. Just check the photos carefully.

Loved the pool, excellent staff, beautiful grounds. Game room could use updating and restaurant could expand selection list.

The staff in the hotel was helpful (front desk, cleaners). Room clean and didn’t hear much through halls or walls. Loved the hydration stations and coffee station. Grounds were nice and the tennis courts and lawn games a bonus. It was overpriced IMO. We ate at the restaurant down at the dock- the service was not great and a cook was seen vaping, food presentation not great or worth coming back for more. The pool could have used toilet facilities& showers nearby.

We had an amazing time - conveniently located to downtown Bar Harbor - a lot of amenities to keep the kids and adults happy - the island hopper to Acadia picks you up right out front - I have no negative comments- the rooms were spacious and clean

We had a wonderful stay. The whole place was clean and enjoyable. The hot tip was great after a day of long hikes. The staff were friendly and helpful.
