Hearthside Inn

The room was super cute, with an en suite bath and private porch area. Breakfast was delicious and they were able to accommodate GF. Bed was comfortable. Great location!! We were able to walk all around downtown Bar Harbor from the Inn and leave our car parked there.

Lovely inn, great close in location and a wonderful team.

The inn is beautifully maintained and updated. It’s close to all things Bar Harbor. My room was spacious and was on the back side of the second floor. I had an issue with my bedding which was promptly addressed. I loved the breakfasts and the afternoon tea. There’s quite a few steps to get to the second floor, just an FYI. I’d definitely stay again.

The dining area is small and the place feels less cozy than most B&Bs I’ve stayed in. I think the price is too high for what you get.

The stay was fine- nothing special or impressive. This is an old house that has been turned into a b&b, and for the most part the accommodations served its purpose. I’m a little surprised that the room felt like a bit of a dorm room for the price we paid. The carpet had stains, and the room had no closet. Otherwise, all was fine.

A short walk from the main street, and the post office is just around the corner if you want to buy stamps and send postcards. We were surprised to find upon arrival that our bathroom is down the hall rather than in the room. So a $260+ night stay for dorm style living - although we did have exclusive use of the bathroom. Staff did offer to try to find us a comparable place in their chain of accommodations. But we were too tired to move after 5 hrs of driving and having dragged our luggage up two flights of stairs up to the third floor.

The staff is not readily available. They never provided clean towels, which I would expect without having to ask. I understand that no one is making up rooms any longer without requesting it.

The breakfast was delicious every day. We would’ve liked it to be served earlier so we could get a head start on the day. It was from 8-9:30am. The staff was very friendly and available. The location was easily walkable to the main areas. The bed was comfy with lots of pillows and blankets. Our issues were small ones and the good things about this place made up for those little inconveniences.

Perfectly tucked away from noise but close to any and everything. I liked how it was 2 houses away from the Main Street. There was a gas station on the corner. Perfect for stopping by to grab waters/ etc after walking around

We loved our 3-night stay at the Hearthside Inn! Juliana and her team provided a great experience, from the delicious breakfasts and snacks to the beautiful accomodations. The Inn is in a great location and we didn't have any challenges with parking. We look forward to returning!

I went here because i saw a review praising the breakfast, and another praising the staff. I want to say both were fantastic and definitely a wonderful place to stay.

Coffee is advertised to be ready at 5am. It was ready at 630am each morning.
