Wonder View Inn - Bar Harbor Collection

This is an old motel. The property seems dated and disorganized. It was difficult to find the front desk, after traveling all day this was not a good start. The photos did not represent reality. We had no view. We paid too much for the room we got and we were quite disappointed.

Staff was super helpful. Room was sadly far away from the amenities as the hotel is part of a complex of buildings.

Beds were comfortable. Nice bathroom. Island Runner picks up here. Easy walk into town if you feel like walking. Reception folks were top notch. I have zero to complain about.

The room was spacious and clean. Very close to town. It was a bit dated but overall we had an awesome time and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view of the harbour and a great price. The shuttle bus to town stopped right at our hotel so it made travel super easy. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean. Buildings could use general updating; however they were well kept for their age. Easy access to shuttle bus. Onsite restaurant has great view.

Great view. Older facilities but clean and well cared for but walls thin heard everything neighbors did, especially the walking around of those above us. Also water temperature in shower very inconsistent - one moment boiling hot and next ice cold.

Iight housekeeping in the room one day coffee was not resupplied in the room balcony was nice, restaurant on premises was very nice and excellent view!

This property was adjacent to a newer upgraded property but the unit we stayed in was marginally upgraded, thin walls, degraded furniture and a mattress that sink into a hole in the middle. Staff barely maintained this property. Way overpriced for what you get. Location was fairly good

The room was ok, extremely aged and the bathroom is like going back to 1960. But it did the job for what we needed as we were mostly exploring. The laundry facilities were helpful. My daughter enjoyed the pool it was just a trek to get there. I’d look at other properties in future. The location is ok and Bar Harbor is walkable.

Wonder View Inn is a series of separate buildings with individual units spread over several acres. Built circa 60's/70's. It has been reasonably updated. It is linked to the much newer Bluenose Inn with shared check in/out and amenities. Pictures we viewed before booking were not of the unit we were given. Our building was called the Livingston and made up of 8 units...6 on the front side and 2 on the back. No view. It was roughly 1/2 mile from the restaurant and amenities at Bluenose. We had a unit on the back. The entrance was unpainted, weathered steps to a wooden landing. A door led into a foyer with a unit door to the left and right and a supply room door in the middle. The foyer was small where only one person with luggage could enter at a time. Pros about the room....clean, comfortable bed, spacious shower, good A/C. There's a desk with a Keurig and a chair just in the way. A mini-frig with a small microwave on top. A chest with a TV mounted above it...guessing 43". An upholstered chair and king bed. Small closet. Bathroom was tiny. Shower took half of it. Sink was micro with a shelf above it. Hard to shave or wash your face! Printed TV guide did not explain how it worked. Staffer got channel we wanted. We did not change it during our stay. Entry door sealed so poorly that the foyer light lit up our room. Could reach entry doorknob lying in bed. Dead bolt only! Uncomfortable! Great location!! A developer will demolish it and build a wonderful complex one day! Avoid!

It was just ok, definitely not great. The pictures online were definitely nicer than the room we got, but we also went in not expecting top notch either. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The transportation into Bar Harbor from the hotel via the free buses was wonderful.

The rooms were clean, but extremely outdated the sister property blue nose looked much more updated, and better amenities. However, to charge 400 and something a night for these outdated rooms are absurd ……. If you are accustomed to the lap of luxury, you may want to look elsewhere, as this property falls short of those premium standards or any average standards at that

Location was just outside downtown but still walkable to it. Quiet, friendly staff, looking glass restaurant overlooks scenery and water views. Room in Livingston house was basic but nice hot shower with pressure. Good courtyard and grounds if you have pets in one of the permitted rooms. I recommend this place. Blue Nose Inn next door where you check in has nice gift shop and fitness room with indoor and outdoor pool all part of amenities.

Beautiful views in the right room. The breakfast restaurant is the best view in town and a little local secret. The Wonderview is more of a motor lodge style vs the sister hotel next door but our room was clean and quiet and we didn’t mind.

Pretty outdated. No real view of anything, just in the name.

This motel is conveniently located not only on the free shuttle line, but also in walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor

Great view. No need to drive and battle parking downtown. FREE bus stop right on property. Indoor and outdoor pool + hot tub. Staff very friendly. The outside of the building we stayed at looked worn, but the inside was very clean. The maid staff does a great job. Big rooms and more importantly the beds were huge and very comfortable. Close to everything bar harbor. Had a great time. Quiet, peaceful, and overall threat experience
