Wonder View Inn - Bar Harbor Collection

Nice, very spread out property but location to bike trail into Acadia Park was excellent which was my priority!

Really enjoyed our stay, was a nice walk into downtown Bar Harbor. Fantastic restaurant and gorgeous location.

Exceptional service.

Room was great and had everything we needed. Only issue we had was because we were traveling with small dogs and the yard had several huge holes and areas they could have gotten lost in

Great location to downtown. Room was a good size and also had a nice view. Friendly front desk staff.

It isabout a 23 minute walk to downtown Bar Harbor or 5-7 minute drive.

Great views of harbour, easy walking distance to Main Street with plenty of bars restaurants. We ate in the thirsty whale was very reasonable in price. The bus stops at the hotel which links to the free buses to take you to Acadia national park. Very nice place to stay.

The hotel is a bit dated but had what we needed. I didn’t use the pool or gym so I can’t comment on that.

The beds were comfortable and the 3 large window opened to a gorgeous view, and a small balcony. However the windows (I think just in our room) did not have drapes (although there was hardware in place) instead it had cheap plastic mini blinds which did not keep out any light. The shower had no water pressure and the tiny mini fridge froze our things. We enjoyed the pool/hot tub/sauna at the adjacent Bluenose Inn as well as the nightly pianist. We ate breakfast daily at the Looking Glass while enjoying the incredible view...have I mentioned the view, it was amazing.

Wonder View is a motel, not an inn. It is misrepresented by displaying pictures of the amenities from the Bluenose. The room was clean and the staff was professional, but I felt duped to pay more than double to stay at other motels in the area.

Upon arriving, I was told they didn't have a room for my pet. Booked through expedia. No place to add pet. However a call to management cleared that up. I had a hard time locating the room. Rooms are spread out all over. The room was tiny. Smallest bathroom Ive ever had. Location is good. I will never book through expedia again.

View was nice from the unit. It was pretty far removed from everything and a bit of a walk to get to the pool. Older facilities but clean.

No heat in the room...only AC. Yikes, you have to ask for a heater on cold evenings. No light switch when you walk into the room, it's on another wall away from the door. In my state that simply does not meet wiring code. Ice machine is ~200 yards away

The room is clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, we had a balcony which was nice, our bathroom water temperature and pressure were poor. It took a little while for the hot water to come through. The water pressure was low but doable. Other than that it was comfortable with a large dog.

Clean room spacious had all we needed for family of 4 adults, we chose room w/2 king beds with a view of water from up top. Very pretty. Quiet and peaceful. Altho decor is outdated it is very quaint and has a lot to offer guests. Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent offering a beautiful view. The piano player offered in the lounge of hotel nightly was amazing. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful views, pricey breakfast.

The property was very clean and well maintained. The shuttle bus service that runs all day into Bar Harbor is so convenient. No worries about parking. No long wait for shuttles. Bathroom had no exhaust fan and it did get quite hot after showering. I couldn’t even blow dry my hair in the bathroom it was so warm.

Balcony overlooking the harbor was an added touch.

Amazing! Just wish they had curtains in the room since the sun rises at 5am. But amazing nonetheless

That said, the morning after our first night there, we called the desk, and spoke to Jenn, who was able to upgrade our reservations to the Bluenose Inn. She was fantastic, as was EVERYTHING about the Bluenose!
